HELP! Name an aminal that has become extinct in the past 100 yrs.

DS has a couple of acheivements to finish by this evening in order to receive his "Bear" rank for cub scouts at the Blue & Gold Dinner. Today is the deadline.

For those of you not familiar with scouting the blue & gold is the annual celebration of the birth of scouting. The scouts use it as a time to recognize the accomplishments of the individual scouts, dens, the pack & adult leaders in front of the other scouts & their families. (An award banquet of sorts.)

So if you can think of a recently extinct creature, my future Bear would be eteranlly greatful.

Thanks to each of you. He went with the Large Palau Flying Fox - which is actually a type of bat. I never realized there were so many recently ectinct animals.
