Okay I will start with a disclaimer I am not using the disboards in place of regular medical care. That said my feet are itchy. I mean like all over the foot itchy. I noticed it started a few days ago. It sorta started after I went tanning. I usually wear crocs or flip flops. I've been using gold bonds foot cream.

sounds like an athlete's foot which is easy to pick up in places like tanning salons and spreads easily to your feet. Even if you just initially contracted it on one foot it easily spreads to the other. Go to your local pharmacy to the footcare section, there are all kinds of OTC treatments. good luck.

edited to add, wash your crocs and flip flops in hot hot soapy water or you will just get the bacteria back again.

If you go tanning, and use a stand up bed or even a lay down bed, spread some paper towells or a clean towel on the floor to stand on. Most places provide you with some type of germacide to spray on the bed before and after use, but my guess, is the floors don't get the same treatment.

Do you think your feet might have gotten sunburn? Mine have before when I tanned and it made them itch!

My skin reacts when I go out in the sun, I think from the A rays? Anyhoo, It might be from that, or Athletes foot. Good Luck figuring it out and hope they feel better!!!

They are starting to be a little less itchy but I'm gonna get some athlete's foot stuff this afternoon just in case.

Try these, they are cheaper and they work. My oldest son used to landscape and wore boots that got wet and his feet got hot all summer long. The first thing we used to do was soak his feet in a footbath with hot water and apple cider vinegar. the apple cider vinegar works as an anti-fungal treatment. Also make a gallon of very strong tea and soak yor feet in that. The tanic acid in the tea is suppose to work against itching, smells etc. Strong tea also works on sunburn and bug bites. Tea tree oil is also an anti fungal, if you have any tea tree products(smells good too)

Mine itch if I wear crocs too long. I guess I have a sensitivity to them. Could be it too. use OT cream, wash your crocs see if it helps. :flower3:

Does white vinegar work the same as apple cider? I went to the store and bought some spray. Is jock itch the same thing as athlete's foot? Cause they didn't have anything for itchy feet other than gold bonds but it was for cracked itchy feet. I certainly don't have a groin itch. So I bought the jock itch stuff and it hasn't helped. Right now I have gold bonds lotion on them and a fan blowing on them. Who would have thought feet could be so itchy.

Wow. I am a big believer in the many wonderful properties of tea tree oil . . . but goodness gracious (IMO) it reeks to high Heaven! :confused3

That said, I'm betting it's still better than itchy feet! ;)

certainly sounds like foot fungus, tinea pedis, jock itch is tinea cruris, essentially the same thing. The jock itch spray should have the same medication in it. I tend to like the creams best for DH vs the sprays. Make sure you get in b/w your toes, wash towels & wash cloths & clean your shower floor. Also your flips or crocs. (personally I use bleach- I know not very 'green' but nothin' survives that stuff). Also- make sure you DRY your feet well & again especially b/w toes. I try to find the active medication % of 1.5. The medication is usually Miconazole. (yup, the same stuff as that other fun female problem). BTW it will take a couple of days to feel better (continue the treatment for about 10 days (or whatever is on the container):(

So could I if I had some use yeast infection cream? I'm dying here, okay not really but my feet are killing me and the spray stuff isn't helping.

You really need to try the cream form of the athlete's foot stuff, use Lotrimin cream which is an antifungal. You are also putting to many things on your feet at one time, you are probably makig it worse. Wash your feet and dry them good and then just use the lotrimin cream, you can find it in the foot care aisle where they sell insoles and pumice stones etc. I used to use it a lot for diaper rashes that were of the "fungal" form, it works well and quickly.

Honest you won't die from foot fungus (lol), it won't feel better for awhile though, can you wear flips to work? the more air your feet get over the next few days the better. If you need to wear closed toes, don't wear panty hose, wear cotton socks (the less moisture the better).

so i used a foot bath especially for itchy feet. then i used some tea tree oil and the lotrimin. and put on clean cotton socks so we'll see how everything feels in the morning

so how did you make out? are you itch free?

Feet are feeling a bit better, still itchy. Turns out I have reactive arthritis (i'm32) and it maybe responsible for the itch.

feet are feeling really go today. the tea tree oil sticks to high heaven but it works great
