Help my brain...linking MDE accounts?

Heading down in November for a mother/daughter trip with two other moms and their daughters, staying off site and getting nervous about the ability to book fp+ at 30 days out. My question is, can each of us create a MDE account but have only one of us (myself) link the accounts and make our initial fp+ together so we know we get the bigger rides together that we want and then have the ability for each of them to change things around using their own mde? Also, can we at 30 days book for as many days out as we have ticket days for or am I going to have to be up at midnight for five days straight, sweating it out?!

For the first time in years I think something about Disney trip planning is going to make my head explode, and not in a good way!! Staying offsite and trying to work out this MDE and FP+ stuff...stayed onsite with it before with no issues but offsite is going to be a whole other ball game. The panic I'm seeing on some of the unofficial facebook pages is getting to me! :scared1:

Yes, you can (and should) link your MDE accounts to allow one of you to make plans for the entire party. You can invite the others to plan and share but they will need to approve the invite before it can be done.

As far as making FP+ 30 days out, if you are staying off site you will only have the ability to make FP+ reservations 30 days prior to the date of visit, therefore you will have to make day by day reservations.

Since it is highliy unlikely that you will get either 7DMT or Anna & Elsa at that point, personally I wouldn't even bother with the whole midnight thing. But that is just me. Everything else I think you will be able to get at a normal time of day.

I have to say, this is where I think that Disney have played their trump card - people who stay offsite ARE at a disadvantage when it comes to securing their FP+ and it is likely to encourage people to think twice about staying onsite.

Agreed with everything here.

The good news for OP and other off-site guests is that you don't really have to worry about booking FPs, since A&E and 7DMT will already be gone at 30 days and everything else should have plenty of availability.

Linking the other mothers and daughters will be a multi-step process. First you need to add the primary MDE account holder(s) and enter the email they used when they created their MDE account. Once those invites have been accepted, select 'Add a Guest' again and it will show the profiles that are managed by your friend(s). It will also show any of their connected friends. Select the ones you want to connect with and an invite will be sent to the primary account holder to approve.

Thanks for your answers everyone! When I went back in March we had no trouble booking FP+ at only about two weeks out so I'm hoping the panic is mostly over 7DMT (which disappoints me so hopefully standby times aren't too bad) and A&E (which we have to real interest in).

Here is my question: I have a trip that has been a year in the planning. My SIL#1 decided to give SIL#2 a once in a lifetime trip to WDW for her 60th birthday (yesterday). I have been over 50 times and SIL#1 has been maybe 8, but this will be the one and only trip for SIL#2 as she will never have the means to afford it. I will be travelling with family including a barely 4 y/o and a 22 month old, so I won't be riding much except using my fps for meet and greets, etc. SIL#1 does not ride anything. SIL#2 rides everything, so I plan to pair her up with my husband while #1 and I hang with the kids.
I am planning on getting them tickets for the MVMCP the night we are going. I was also able to score a Wishes Dessert party for the 6 of us, but I know at this point (and I plan to call daily) it will be tough to get the 2 SILs a ressie. None of my family members are that keen on it except to watch Wishes as they plan to be riding and seeing the special events. I plan to use the terrace to chill and hang with the little ones when they get tired. I would love for SIL#1 to be able to sit with me after the fireworks because she has health problems, trouble walking, and is not there to eat (she's a diabetic). The rest of my family will be gone after Wishes. Is it possible for her to trade bands and sit with me and help with the kids? I'm sure as soon as Wishes is over the place will pretty much clear out, and our table will be practically empty so space is not an issue.
As I said before, I plan to call every day to try to add them to our ressie but I was wondering if she would be able to borrow a band and sit? I don't think you can do fast passes on a party night anyway.
Please let me know
