I'm on my own this trip, so I can choose. KTTK is only about $10 more and I would LOVE to see the tunnels underground. I'm not SO into the Christmas Party. I mean, being an adult, alone, it might make me feel sad. Any input is really, really appreciated!!!

If I were in your shoes, I would 100% choose the MVMCP..... Of course, that is because I've already seen the tunnels. I haven't been on the KTTK tour, but I do love a good Disney tour. With that said, if the only reason you would choose the tour over the Christmas party is because you reeeeeally want to see the tunnels, skip it and go to the Christmas party. The tunnels had me soooooo excited until I saw them, then it was like, meh. If you really want to see the tunnels (utilidoors) google it. You'll find pics, I'm sure.

The MVMCP on the other hand, is lovely. It snows on main street, you get free cookies and cocoa at different stations, the parade will make you smile and the fireworks will make you cry. It's amazing! I've been to the Christmas party the past two years since I've lived in Florida and I will NOT miss it.

Whatever you decide, enjoy!

You can't go wrong either way, we had a blast at both.

I would hate to choose but Christmas only comes once a year, KTTK is year round if you think you will be going back soon.

Have done both, and recommend both equally. I think it has more to do with what you like.

Keys to the Kingdom - Small group tour where you will get a lot of history and trivia, get to some see backstage of Magic Kingdom, get to see backstage backstage of 1 or 2 rides (I saw backstage of haunted mansion), and you get a nice lunch. The guides are always top notch, and will answer (or try to) any question.

MVMCP - Huge group of people in the Christmas spirit, fake snow, Christmas music, Christmas Wishes fireworks, Christmas Parade, cookies and cocoa, and a few feature Christmas character meets/parties. The parade and fireworks are very much worth it since you can only see them at the party, or I think once the Christmas season gets underway (heavy crowds during that season).

I know, not much help huh?:confused3

Ok, after much consideration, I have decided to do KTTK. I was lying bed last night trying to think of pros and cons for each. Whenever we go to Disney, parades and fireworks mean one thing, SHORT LINES! I don't think we have ever watched a parade or fireworks ever, and we have been a lot.

Secondly, I will be going alone and my family isn't the Disney Geek I am. They would be SO bored at KTTK, while I would be fascinated (I hope).

Basically, it's come down to those reasons. Yes, I would love to see the snow and drink the hot chocolate..please don't get me wrong. But I have been to WDW and DL so many times, I think I would LOVE a behind the scenes tour. Plus I'll have an open schedule since it's just me. I'm going to book it next week. Oh, and you get lunch with KTTK.

You'll love the tour. It's fascinating and very fun! Our tour guide, Mathew, was a doll. Hope you get him!

Great choice! :thumbsup2 I think the party would be a little sad if you're all alone. But the tour is a lot of fun and lunch at CHH was quite tasty! (I had the shrimp...yum!) Our guide was Rae and she was a hoot. Our tour lasted 5 hours and we were all kinda like one big family. Enjoy!:cool1:

You'll love KTTK. DH and I did it years ago and we both loved it...and both of us would do it again. :thumbsup2

i have done both and would do KTTK again. i would not pay to do MVMCP again. it was nice, but i didnt think it was worth the extra money for me.

After a lot of drama, I finally got KTTK!

I wanted Dec1, CM said sold out. 2, 3, and 4 were blocked out. I was upset but I was advised to call everyday (thanks Dan) and make sure no one had dropped out.

I'm so stupid. I'm leaving Dec 5. Around 11 pm last night I decided to look at my departure from MCO and it's not til 5:15 pm! I called this morning and sure enough, they had a spot for me Dec 5! I got some Disney Magic!!

I would recommend KTTK for a solo traveler, unless your are gung-ho Christmas. The Christmas Party is really fun and if you choose it, you won't be disappointed. But in my experience on the tours everyone kind of becomes one group and you don't feel at all uneasy about being solo.

That is just how my crazy, neurotic brain works, but if you're unsure about about how you'll feel alone at a Christmas Party, you may from the same crazytown as me. :)
