I need advice badly....Just got back from Disney Magic Saturday late...late... Well while unpacking..just now I realized I don't have the ONE photo that I wanted from shutters. Does anyone know if there is a way I can still get it? And if so how. I'm not sure..when it was taken...except it was one of the first couple days at the mickey pool. I saw it at shutters all week long...and knew I was going to get it...but instead of collecting the pictures as I found them...I stacked them through the week and purchased all of them on the last night. I thought for sure it was in the stack I bought...but I can't find it anywhere now.

It was such a good picture of my daughter....it just makes me sick now that I realize I left it behind.

Help...what am I to do.

We did the stacking all week long like I had mentioned...and the last night just before we purchased...we put the stacks back on the racks...went to eat...came back and our stacks were spread all over..I thought we found them all...but now I know I'm missing at least that one.

Hi scrapperjill! Sorry I did not meet you on the cruise! I think Amy told me she met you!
Have you tried calling DCL yet to see if there is anything they can do?

Hi Jill-

I am sorry that you don't have the picture that you want. I can offer a possible explanation though for your pictures being spread out. The pictures that were stacked began to fall forward from the weight behind them. Shutters was packed on Friday, and when walking through it was easy to bump up against pictures that were leaning forward. My husband did it twice and the pictures fell on the floor. Each time he picked them up, stacked them again, and put them back. Who knows if the same thing happened to your pictures and maybe someone wasn't as careful putting them back?

Good luck finding the picture!

You're in luck. The photographers are employees of a company that provides photography services to cruise lines. That company, Image Photo Services, keeps the negatives on file for a while and you can buy prints post-cruise.

Check out the Photo Request Form at this link: http://www.image.com/guest-postcruise.htm

For the benefit of others, here are some additional details from the company's FAQ:

Q: How do I order a print of a photo that I did not purchase on a recent cruise?

A: Click on Photo Request Form, or you may contact our Guest Services department. You will need to provide your name, address, phone number, the ship sailed on and the sailing dates. You will also need to provide us a photograph of the guest/s who are in the photos you are searching for. The photograph may be sent to us either by mailing the photo to us or scanning it and emailing it as an attachment. A brief description will also need to be included, for example time, location, date, event, number of people in photograph etc. Please keep in mind, negatives are only kept for 6 weeks from the date of sailing. A minimum purchase of $19.95 must be made. Prices are the same as those charged on the ship plus shipping costs ($5.00 average shipping charge depending on location).

Yea I know how packed it was in there...that's why we set ours aside and came back just before midnight. I thought I picked a good place to put them...out in the hallway where they had extended the viewing walls...but when we came back the walls in the hall were empty...so they took everything from out there and put it inside. I can't figure out why it was spread all over in shutters and not somewhat together. I'd understand if it was spread around on one viewing section...but they were all over. A couple here and a couple there.

I haven't called DCL yet...I just, just realized. I'm trying to dig the number out now.

smchan ..Thank you...Thank you...Thank you. :teeth:

I am going to contact them right now...I'm trying to think if there are anyothers I missing. I'll let you all know what I find out.

Thanks again.

scrapperjill- did you contact the company w/ a request form and if so, how did it go? I have one I want to try and get also!

Yes I did contact the company with my request and a few questions. I haven't yet ordered the photo...but here is what I found out.

They keep the negative for only 6 weeks
There is a $5 shipping fee
and you have to order a min of $25 (+$5shipping) of photos.

Oh and the cost of the photos is the same as it is on the ship....9.95 and 19.95...if I remember correctly.

If your reordering copies of ones you already have...you need all the information on the back of the photo and a scanned image of the actual photo. If your ordering other photos that you didn't get....like what I'm doing...you need to give them a detailed description of the person or people in the photo..along with place, time and date if known....and a scanned image of the person whos in the photos...for reference...

They did also tell me that there was NO guarentee that they would be able to locate the photo I was looking for with the numbers from the back.

Well I hope that helps...I need to get busy and order mine...I was just trying to think of what other photos I may want since I have to order the min $$$ amount...so I'll need to think of two other pics to choose from.

In all I didn't think it was to bad of a deal...only $5 shipping and the same price as on the ship...I was expecting to have to pay an arm and a leg to get just the one photo.

I'd hate to be the person that has to sit there and go through thousands of pictures, trying to match it with a scan or a description of someone.

I ordered one last night so I hope they find it and that it's the correct one! I knew the date it was taken and sent a picture of her from the same night so I would think they'd find the right one!
I'll let you know!:sunny:
