Help!! Minivan rental.

I have been looking for a minivan rental Nov 16- 26 picking up MCO. I can not find anything under 400.00. That seems to be alot. If anyone can help me lower this please let me know the discount code to use and what company. I am in need of a something to hold 7 people.... Thanks for your help.. Not sure if this will work for your dates but try Dollar with Kiss2. I have a 10 day resie in October for a Dodge Caravan "or similar" fo $318 with all taxes and fees. Keep watching too as your dates draws near as the rates get better. A couple of months ago I couldn't find any minivan for under high $400's.

Sorry, but I tried for quite a while with various codes.

Plenty of suvs, etc but for 7 passengers the price really goes up. The least i could find through ALamo is $450!

Are there really 7 of you? or do you just need that amount of space because of luggage?

If not:
If its the luggage..what I've recommeded to clients is to reserve the car based on how many passengers you have. Enroll for the Magical Express for part of the guests. One adult and some children take the ME with the luggage, and the other gets the rental car.

Its amazing how much prices go up around any holiday!

were do you put in the promo code for dollar? All I see is a coporate code box..

Click on the Promotions tab at the top and a box will appear for the rental code.

Hmm - I'm having some problems finding anything under $400 also. Your travel dates are easy for me to remember because we are going Oct. 16-26! The reason your rates might be so high is because you do hit Thanksgiving during your trip and I doubt there are going to be many discount codes during that time since it is a big $$$ time...I could be wrong though.

Have you checked Thrifty? They are not onsite at the airport, but you could send the driver to pickup the car while the rest of your party collects luggage and then the person picking up the car can just pick you all up at the airport. Plus their rates are the lowest I saw.

Try using corporate code 004M001010 from the Orlando Magicard. It gave me a total of $401.31 for your rental. That is the best I saw.

I do agree with the pp to be patient and check rates often...you may see a drop. Book now in case they go up though...it's such a game.

We have never paid more than $300.00 for a minivan rental at Dollar. It might be the time of year that you are planning to travel. If you have AAA, you might get a lower rate or a BJ's Wholesale membership.

I tried using bjs codes & coupons for you..but they were high!

I have seen that Thanksgiving time was a blackout period for discounts for the cars.

Another option if you want that would save you some $ is to only rent for the exact amount of days from Dolphin location or car care center for alamo/national.

I have a minivan for 8 days in Sept. through Thrifty using a code from mousesavers.com and it's coming in at $190...you do have to take a shuttle from the airport, but it's only a mile or two down the road. Maybe give that a try?

Unfortunately, September rates vs. Thanksgiving holiday rates are two different ball games
