How do I get a pin? What website do I go on? I have gone to disney ever year and never got a pin. HELP

I log on to my account in disneyworld.com and start putting in dates to pick hotels. Then, after picking a hotel and room, I close the window, checking that "I did not feel it was the best rate."

Two days later, I was emailed the 20-30-40 pin (thru Dec.) and mailed the 30-35-40 pin (thru June 12th.) Be careful on the emails! I had to scroll down in the email and look in a small box to the right for a tiny box that had the discount info and pin. I could have easily missed it and deleted the email. It comes from the sender: "Disney Destinations."

PINS are totally random supposedly. I go to WDW 4-5 times a year, have an AP, a Disney VISA, have my email listed on every Disney site I can find, have filled out every survey they've ever sent, save vacations regularly on their site, and have still never gotten a PIN code. Others get several a year.

My 76 y/o mom who has only ever gone to WDW with me, got a PIN last year. She lives with me, so of course it came to my mailbox. I was so excited, but when I called was told I couldn't use it even though she lived with me, because it was her PIN, not mine. What the heck! She lives with me, I support her for the most part, she has only gone to WDW when I've taken her and I'm the lead person on the ressie, but I can't use the PIN? Someone here on the DIS told me to keep trying until I found a CM who would let me do it, as others here had had almost the same situation. It took multiple tries, but finally a CM told me he didn't know what the other CMs problems were, but the PIN was for our household, so I was eligible for it. I used it, but then shortly thereafter an AP code came out that beat it, so I switched.
