Hi, Everyone! My fiance' and I have decided to buy a house, and just have a small ceremony. Of course, I immediately thought of Disney as the place to start. I hope that this doesn't sound tacky, but can anyone give me an idea of what the base price for an intimate wedding is? I'm clueless on all of this! :confused3

The base price for an intimate wedding is around 2,450 for Sunset Point, Seabreeze Point, Yacht club gazebo, and Wilderness lodge. If you want the Wedding Pavillion be prepared to pay over a $1,000 extra

Actually the pavillion is only $900 more. Good luck with your house and your wedding.

Thanks, Ashley! Are you doing the Intimate ceremony, too? Have you found it difficult to narrow down the number of people, and to get the ceremony planned?

Our Intimate was under the "old" rules and prices. We already have APs so it was what they, at that time, called and "add on" but I think I read here that all Intimates are now "add on" weddings? It was around $2500 but that included an additional $260-ish for our custom cake. Of course being a nervous bride I was e-mailing our EM and Rosie in Disney floral/photo all the time, but I found that other than our wedding website they really held my hand through the process. And as DH kept telling me at the time, Disney has done thousands and thousands of weddings, relax, they know what they're doing, and he was so right. It went very smoothly.

As for narrowing down the guest list, that was more difficult. We couldn't have any grandparents and they were not happy about that but we spent time with each of them after the wedding and showed them wedding pictures so they got over it pretty quickly. Everyone there practically was from my side! DH is an only child so it was just his parents on his side and one mutual friend (who introduced us actually). I did not invite my sister's younger children (8 and 6) because I knew they would not behave and we just didn't have the room; her oldest daughter was my MOH. Counting us it was 11 total.

It was exactly what we wanted. We didn't want a big wedding and I wanted a Disney wedding so for us the Intimate was absolutely perfect! :cloud9: I would not have changed a thing!

Good luck and congratulations on your wedding and getting your own house. We moved into our first house about 4 months before the wedding and it's been a lot of work but it is so wonderful to have a place that is all your own! :goodvibes

We are having our intimate wedding this October. I found it somewhat easy to narrow down the guest list, for our wedding is in October and most of our family have kids that are in school. Also we let our invited guests know that we will be having at-home receptions which will be easier for them to attend then making a trip to Florida. As for planning, it is really simple. They just send you a planning packet that you fill out, and you're done. I communicate mostly through e-mail, and they are very prompt in responding to all of my questions. I also have a travel agent that is assisting me with our honeymoon plans.

If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Happy planning!
Ashley

I'm planning on calling tomorrow to get things situated. My date is Nov. 4th. I was all set to do a huge wedding, but it became so overwhelming and EXPENSIVE! :crazy2: Then my fiance' decided that we should do the house thing, so here I am! Thanks, again, for your help. Since this happened over the weekend, I couldn't speak to anyone at Disney, so your posts really helped me out.
