Last trip I took then-2 yr old dd on a mom/dd day during our WDW trip while DH took boys to TL. We went to the princess b'fast in EPCOT, then kinda did the "girl stuff" that would make the boys gag (rode the carousel, went to see Ariel, etc.) GREAT TIME. THis year dd (now 4) and I are going to have a day together again (DH is taking our older boys to DQ!) But I'm in a quandry -- what to do with the day? We already have CRT ressies earlier in the week (me, dd, my sis and her two dds -- a girls b'fast. We're sending all our Princess-Haters over to Crystal Palace wtih Pooh!)

Didn't really feel like doing the PSB again, necessarily... and to be honest, I'm not even sure if it needs to be a "park day"!

Some ideas off the top of my head:

Great Adventures in cooking (she would love this, although I may be too late... I booked the Pirate cruise for her and her brothers / cousin right at the 90 day mark. I'm at 60 now. And if this is our time together, why am I giving her to the chef?)

Pooh Breakfast (could go to either CP -- she won't have been there, since she went to the CAstle that day instead, or could go to 1900Park Fare. Which is better? And who has Piglet? He's her FAVE.)

I'm just not willing to plunk out the 200 for the princess tea that GF offers... but maybe the "regular" tea would be fun for her? She loves to dress up and feel "fisticated" as she calls it.

There's still plenty of park stuff for her to do that we won't get to during the rest of our trip b/c the boys will be too busy gagging... like story time with Belle, or watching the show outside the castle, etc. We will be at SSR, so DTD is accessible. Anything fun for her there?

I'm stuck! Help me out with some ideas!

Wonderland Tea Party is terrific. Only problem is you can't be there. But, you can go and get a nice dessert and a drink/coffee/tea while dd is at the Tea. I also like the idea of a CP meal with Pooh. My dd had her 6th b-day there and it was wonderful. You could focus on the attractions that she likes the most. Maybe get her hair trimmed at the BarberShop on Main St....pixie dust in the hair is fun. Maybe then you could take the boat to Ft. Wilderness and do the petting zoo. Take the bus to POR and take the boat to DTD. Have fun. You gotta love those memory making times!!!

Ther is a new princess tea which starts June 10. It is expensive but includes a doll and tiara for the princess and is a mom and daughter once in a life time event call CRO and ask about the details!

We just got back last month and one day I did steal my 2 dds (5 & 7) for the day away from the other people we were traveling with...and it was one of the days my dds liked the best, go figure!

We slept in a little later, ate breakfast at the food court at the resort, then caught the bus to Blizzard Beach and we did the WinterSummer Land Miniture golf, went into Blizzard Beach and got thier hair twisted (just a note...have it done before the hair is wet we didn't know this but luckily we did have it done before swimming...the girls would have been bummed).

Just the three of us spent the rest of the day at Blizzard Beach and I'm not a waterpark person but it was great...Dh started calling me around 2:00 (after his golf) and when I told him where we were he was very surprised. He then called a few more times because we needed to get back to the rest of them for our HoopDeDoo Reservations and we just made it because we were having such a great time we didn't want to leave! :p

Not really girly things but still a ton of fun.

My suggestion would be to go to MK and do all the girlie things that DD would enjoy. Then go to GF for a regular High Tea, that you both can attend together and enjoy. If DD likes to dress up and get "fisticated", LOL--too cute--, she will love the High Tea at GF. After tea you could then make you way to DD for some "girls only" shopping and then back to SSR for a relaxing break at the pool.
Have fun!!!

Ok, some added info. It appears the only place to dine with Pooh (or more importantly for dd, Piglet) is Crystal Palace. However -- while the rest of my crew will have eaten at CP earlier in the week, dd and I will not. (We are going to CRT on the day the rest go to CP.) SOoooo... what if I can get a ressie for 2 for CP for b'fast then do the girlie stuff at MK, maybe get pixie dust in her hair, see Belle, all that jazz.... then what? If I make it a late ressie, we could then skip lunch and do the GF tea. But does anyone have a suggestion on where we could change clothes? I can only imagine -- based on past experience -- that we will be fairly hot and sweaty since it will be August. Hardly "fisticated" as she calls it! I would be willing to stash some duds in a locker if I knew we could change somewhere. Any ideas?

Other alternative is a swimming day, as one person suggested... she is part fish. However, not sure she will find it as much fun as earlier in the week. We are hitting both BB and TL while her cousins are with us... might be kind of a bummer to go back without them? Whaddya think? I'm also trying hard to make this a day that SHE will love, but that the boys will look at and go, "Ewww. Not my cup of tea" (no pun intended). If we go to CP, they can say, Well, I did that, too. And doing the girly stuff wouldn't thrill them. I could probably get away with mini-golf -- maybe. So long as I remind them that they got to go to DQ. But a water park -- hmmmm. I am envisioning four very green eyes looking back at me and their sister! Then again, since they went earlier in the week, too -- maybe not. TOugh call!

Thanks!

Don't forget shopping! The first words my daughter could read were Gift Shop!

I think the afternoon tea at the Garden View lounge would be a great treat for mom and daughter. You could also order the Glass Slipper dessert as a special treat.

I plan on taking my DD6 to this in December. Her brother, who will be 4, will spend time with Dad elsewhere, Tommorrowland Speedway, Buzz Lightyear, etc. It is not all that "girlie", but it is time together nonetheless, and it seems to get good reviews on these boards. Just a thought!

I think I would spend the day at MK doing things her brothers wouldn't want to do like those you mentioned and spending time at Toon Town to do characters greets and riding Pooh over & over. I would do CP! The food was great and the character interaction wonderful. I would worry that your DD would be the envious one if she saw photos of her brothers eating with Piglet. How about lunch or dinner at the castle? Cindy won't be there but you get treated like royalty and the kids meals are a bargain.

This is starting to weigh on my mind too -- what will she think when she sees the photos from the CP b'fast her brothers and cousin went to? And I think too that if I took her there, her brothers would be o.k. with that, thinking "Well, we already did that..." Gotta keep the peace, after all.
