Help me Vero Beach experts!

We are going to VB, checking in on this Sunday for a week. We are staying in a 2 bdrm. From this board, someone told me to request a 2 bdrm with lock off and that I'd have a better chance of an oceanview. We had this confirmed.

Someone from the resort just called and apologized to say that they will only be able to put us in a Dedicated 2 Bdrm.

Does this mean we will have 0% chance of an oceanview? The rep was evasive when I asked about this.

I was told two things by MS concerning the 2br.

1) All the 2br are dedicated.

2) 2br ocean views are very, very rare. Good, full ocean views are basically non-existant.

We just returned and had a 2 bedroom. It had a lockoff studio as a second bedroom. Room number for the 1 bedroom portion was 1515 and for the studio 1514. This was 1st floor ocean side with a huge patio and a great view of landscaping. Last summer we had a 1 bedroom but it also had a studio lockoff. Same building as this year but we were on the 2nd floor with a partial ocean view. We just returned Sat from VB and they were booked solid!

We've stayed in a dedicated 2 bedroom villa twice. Both times we had a view of the ocean, but not a direct one. You did have to go out on the balcony to get a view of the ocean - the ocean was to the left of the balcony. Nevertheless, it was very pleasant to sit on the balcony in the early mornings and evenings with a cup of coffee and something to read. We could see the next building if we looked out the sliders (straight ahead), but hter was also lots of vegetation and flowers. We were very pleased with our accomodations and views both times.

We were at VB 4 weeks ago, we had a 1BR in building 15(Room 1527). We were on the 2nd floor and had a very nice ocean view from our deck. Haven't tried a 2BR there yet. Wait until you see the view from the Beach Cottages!!

Hmmmm.....very interesting. MS also told me the pool would be closed in Sept, and they were wrong about that as well.

We have a beach cottage on 9/9 & 9/10, then move to a 2br on 9/11. I guess we must try for the 2br ocean view!

Bumping just to ask if anyone knows if the 2 BR's are in specific buildings and/or floors? I remember someone knew and gave posters advice about this before, but the search function is off and I can't find.

Pentax, that was me, I think.

The 2BR dedicated units are in each building but at the back of the units. There are 18 dedicated 2BR units in total. Two on each floor in each building. If you get a top floor dedicated 2BR unit, you can see the ocean from your balcony.

To elaborate on what Lampy said - The buildings at Vero are in the shape of a squared off U. The open part of the U faces the parking lot, the base faces the ocean. The dedicated two bedroom units are at the top of the U on each side. You'll be able to see the ocean from your balcony as long as you are on the third floor. There is a tall dune with vegetation on it between the resort and the beach that blocks the view from the lower floors.

Guys I'm confused! We were on the Back of the U. Had we had a 3rd floor room we would have been facing the ocean. It was NOT a dedicated 2 bedroom. The 2nd bedroom had 2 doors, I'm assuming this is what you call a lockoff. Right?

I was told two things by MS concerning the 2br.

MS is giving out wrong info again.We were just in a 1bdr. (blding 12) and it is OV with lockoff to the studio.In fact someone had flooded the studio out and they had to tear up and replace the carpeting while we were there.
