Help me understand Chase cards . . .

Just a quick heads up on the 100,000 point offer. The annual fee does NOT count towards the $4,000 you need to spend in the 1st 3 months. You need to spend $4,000 outside the AF. Chase will not give you the 100k points if you don't make the $4k. Also, the start of the 3 months is the day you are approved, not the day you receive the card. I'd hate to see people not get the bonus points because of a technicality.

I've been pretty active in the points and miles game for about a decade now and travel a ton. I really think this is the best overall travel rewards card there is. Even if you only keep for a year, it's a huge score.
