Help me think through our MK morning

A Monday in October - our first day there and we want to do MK. It's *not* a Halloween party day so I know crowds will be greater.

Our trip will be to celebrate my youngest's 4th birthday. All she wants is to go to CRT for breakfast. I know there are mixed opinions on it, but she's heard my big kids talk about it for years and has her heart set :) We also have reservations for the pre-fireworks dessert party that night. So - long day! We're not usually ones to take a mid day break, but I think we'll have to if the little one is going to hang in there, lol.

MK is open 8a-9p, with morning EMH at 7. We're staying at the Poly, so easy back and forth...

If I were able to snag an ADR at CRT - what would be your ideal time? When we went years ago we loved doing it pre-park open, but obviously so much has changed since then, plus with EMHs now that's a non issue... would you get it as early as possible (7:00 hour) to not cut in to the morning? Or sometime more like 9 or 10ish, do some rides beforehand and then take a break?

We've never done EMH... are the crowds appreciably lower? Are FPs available (or even necessary) or no? With it being more crowded than we're used to I want to try to think this through as much as possible!

CRT and the dessert party are our only must-dos. Ideal rides would be things like Peter Pan and Mine Train - all of the expected ones for that age group. I also have older kids who would love some of the Mountains but we're going back to MK the next day so it's not a huge deal... thanks so much !

The reservation window for that time frame has been open for a while, so you may not have a lot of choice at this point. If you do have options, I, personally, would try for a later breakfast, perhaps around 9:30 am, so you can use the early opening time to get on rides. If it were me, I would utilize that time to do as much of Fantasyland as I could so you are right there in the area when it's time to eat at CRT. If you don't have options, I would just book whatever is available ASAP to fulfill your DD's birthday wish.

In answer to one of your questions - there are no FP+ during EMH.

Yep, so true! In the past I’ve found some reservations open up after the 30 day mark, and I’m trying to figure out what to hope for ;) and so I can get my head around things when thinking about FPs. Thanks for your perspective, I like the idea!

The early 7 a.m. EMH is golden and with them happening every day, I expect they'll be even better.

I would definitely be at MK at 7 and spend 2-3 hrs riding what I could. Make the ADR somewhere in the window of 9:30-11:00. Hopefully, that will recharge all of you a bit and you can continue having fun until 2:00 or so and then head back for a break/nap at The Poly. Alternatively, take your break right after your meal and then get back to MK in time for the afternoon parade and stay till close. You could make your FP+ for the late afternoon/evening with this plan. If you decide to take the later break, make your FP+ starting around 11:00-11:30 so they end at the time you want to take your break.
