Help me think of some suprises to plan while at WDW

DH & I are planning on taking our first ever kids free trip in Sept/Oct.

It's in celebration of our 10th Anniversary, and it's the first time we've gone on vacation since our short honeyomoon.

I wanted to try and plan a few, not too expensive suprises while we are there.

I already have an ADR for Califonia Grill at 7:30 for 9m Wishes, which he has no idea that you can view wishes from the balcony

And I have already ordered a Cinderella Chocolate Slipper to be served at BREAKFAST at the GF Cafe.

What other suprises can I plan, than don't break the bank ?

Not sure what you might consider "breaking the bank," but have you considered one of the tours? We did a short adults-only trip in Nov. 2011 and sprung for the Premium Plan, which included the tours. We did the Around the World on a Segway tour at Epcot which was so much fun, and also the Keys to the Kingdom tour at Magic Kingdom, which was, again, fun and interesting. We all (my husband, myself, my sister and BIL) all thought riding the Segways was one of the highlights of the trip. That tour runs about $100 per person. We also thoroughly enjoyed the KTTK tour, which is considerably longer (5 hours) but includes lunch and behind-the-scenes touring. That one is cheaper, I think about $70 per person. If you have a Disney Visa or are an Annual Passholder, you get a discount on the tours.

We really enjoyed doing the tours, since we can't do them with our kids (have to be 16 to do those). I would definitely recommend either one of them!

One fairly cheap but fun thing to do is take a night time horse-and-carriage ride around the two Port Orleans resorts. It costs about $35, and you just go to the main building at POR and look for one of the carriages.

This was our sleeper hit of the year last summer. We rented a pontoon with DH as driver for an hour and went from POR to DTD to OKW and back all in under an hour for around 70

We have done both the World Showcase Segway Tour at Epcot and Keys to the Kingdom. Also the Wishes Dessert Party was a TON of fun and good desserts!

For our birthdays, DH and I did "Lunch with an Imagineer" at the Brown Derby and had a great time! Not a bargain, but we thought it was worth the splurge.

Stop at Guest Relations at any park and get an anniversary button. You never know what kind of pixie dust it might rain on you. It might be a prime seat on Soarin' or a little anniversary dessert at dinner. The button costs you nothing and if the only thing you get out of it is a few "Happy Anniversary" wishes from CMs, it's still worth the time taken to stop and get one.

Check the TPAS board for the Illuminations cruise shares. One might be available for your dates.

You're going during the Food & Wine Festival. Check the activities for your dates. There are special dining events, wine tastings and seminars that you can sign up for. They also do concerts. Check out this link for details on what is planned:

Spend an evening at Jellyrolls. The cover charge is $10 each plus any drinks and food that you order but it's a lot of fun. Request "your song" on a napkin and let them know that it's your anniversary.

Have the Photopass photogs take your picture in front of every park icon using your camera. Make a collage from the best shots when you get back. Walgreen's usually has a code for free 8x10 collages every month.
