Help me purchase a new VACUUM

okay just bought the LG Kompresser 300-- I'm trying it out as soon as my husband puts it together.

Let us know! I have been sitting at this computer all day going back and forth, reading reviews! For $300, I want to make sure I make the right choice! I'm a bit OCD with research!

Maybe I will head to Walmart, Lowes, and HomeDepot. They are all right next to each other and see if any of them have the LG 300. I have heard some negative things about Dyson. I know Costco has the DC14 for around $250 so I'm going to go and see if I can check out the LG.

Did you order it from Walmart?

I will definitely let everyone know how it works. I opened the box and though eh I don't want to put it together

We got it from Home Depot -- I edited my previous post to add that info. We actually went to Sears yesterday and tried out a bunch of the sweepers. We even used each of them over an entry rug to see how quick they would suck it up. We checked all the wands as well. It seems like the reviews on every sweeper can vary alot (what one person hates another loves) A lot of the reviews complained about the weight but for me it wasn't an issue at all. HSN channel had a good video we watched last night on the computer as well. I'm definitely OCD about researching as well.

Go to the Good Housekeeping website and check out the section where they test and rate products. I remember when I was looking for a vacuum, they rated the Hoover Wind Tunnel the best.

Well, I went to all 3 stores. Walmart didn't have it in store and neither did Lowes. Home Depot did, but they were $399. I asked if they would match Walmart and they said no b/c they don't have it instore. Sooo I told her thanks and I left and went home and ordered it from Walmart. They are sending it to my house for $.97. I could really use it now, but not for $100 more!

It worked really well--I had vacuumed yesterday with my old sweeper and I still got a lot more up today. It moves really well and the brush easily switches off to do my hardwood floors--does them really well too. I used the wand--I know some of the reviewers said they had a hard time getting it in and out but it worked well for me.

So far I'm very pleased with it.
