Here are a few tips (in no particular order) I hope will help.
1. Make a list of the must do/see things. Are parades important to you? If so make sure you get there early. I would suggest seeing the MK parades in Fronteerland. The crowds don't seem as bad there.
2. I know a lot of people don't agree but take advantage of the Early Entrance to MK. I find that in the early morning it is easier to get on the rides in Fantasyland. We are usually there as soon as they open for EE. Then, I usually try to get a late breakfast/early lunch at CP and then leave the park for a rest at the resort then go to a different park in the evening. We never stay in a Early Entrance park past 1pm, if we don't eat at MK we leave closer to noon.
3. Plan down times everyday. The parks are open later so it is easier to take breaks in the afternoon.
4. Make a trip to
Walmart on 192 if you can to stock up on water, juice, soda, and snacks.
5. Pack a plastic ziploc bag with ice and cheap washclothes. During the day as it heats up these are lifesavers on the back of the neck or to wipe off a child's face.
6. Get some maps of the park and familiarize yourself with the layout before you go. It saves so much time to have a general idea where the rides you want to go on are.
7. Prepare the night before for the next day.
8. Make lists during the next few weeks to help remember things. Go ahead and write out an itinerary. It's fun and helps put things into perspective.
9. Try not to rush, relax take a breathe and enjoy. If the plan of the day is not working then throw it away! Have fun, it is your vacation!!!
