We are getting the DDP (first time!) for our upcoming trip. We got the basic plan of 1 QS, 1 TS and 1 snack. There's 3 of us: me, dh and dd (4). I wanted to show everyone what we currently have booked and see what you guys think. Are we using our credits 'the best'? Are we getting our money's worth out of the DDP for the meals we've chosen? Not concerned about lunches, just dinners.
We have a total of 12 adult and 6 child dinner credits. We're staying 6 nights. We like a few SD restaurants so we have 2 booked.

Here's our schedule:

Mon: Via Napoli - 2 adult credits, 1 child used

Tues: Artist Point (SD) Thinking of paying OOP for cheaper adult, however, we usually have the same meal here (salmon which is $48/plate). So...not sure. Assuming we pay for one adult - 2 adult credits, 1 child used

Wed: CRT (SD) (Probably paying OOT for adults). 1 child credit used

Thurs: Tokyo Dining - 2 adult credits, 1 child credit used

Fri: La Hacienda - 2 adult credits, 1 child credit used

Sat: Tony's - 2 adult credits, 1 child credit used

Sun: Possibly Cape May breakfast? If leftover credits.

The way I worked this, we have used 10 adult credits and 6 child credits. We do have the extra credits to use at Cape May checkout morning. We'd have to pay for dd. However, I bet Cape May buffet will be more money paying OOT for dd than if we bought her a dinner at, say, Tony's the night before. So we will definitely pay for one of her dinner's OOT if we go with the Cape May. If we do not, we can certainly use those 2 extra points to pay for one adult at CRT. What is the typical price per adult at CRT? I couldn't find prices online. Not sure if that is cheaper than AP or not to pay OOT.

Do you think what we have scheduled is a good value?! Would you change anything?

2-Credit meals aren't a very good value on DDP.

However, CRT is an exception where Dinner is around $60 which is only a little bit under the "cost" of the 2 credits. AP, at a $48 entree plus a ~$10 dessert will also be pretty close. So I think you should be fine there. I'd consider paying OOP at AP before OOP at CRT though, since you can control the cost at AP a bit (share a dessert for example).

The idea of paying OOP for the kids' meal at Tony's (or any of the other a la carte restaurants) also is great, as Cape May WILL be pricier for the little one than those.

All in all, sounds like you've got a plan.
