I'm looking for one more ADR. Right now we have Whispering Canyon booked, but I'm just unsure this is "it" for us. Traveling with DD8, DS5 and my mom (her first trip). My mom is not an adventerous eater, more of a home cooking kinda gal. We will be at AK that day and will not have hoppers, so it either needs to be AK, a resort or DTD. Should I keep Whispering Canyon, or is there something I'm missing out on?

OR, should I give up one of our character meals, and use 2 TS for HDDR or the Luau? Ohana is our first choice, but it's fully booked :(

Here's what we have so far: (lots of character meals, mom's choice!)
Crystal Palace dinner
Akershus breakfast
Coral Reef dinner
1900 Park Fare breakfast
Garden Grill dinner
Chef Mickey's dinner
1900 Park Fare dinner

WCC gets a bad rep around here, but my family really enjoys going there. We always have alot of fun whether we get an "interactive" server or not. Its fun just seeing everyone else have fun and the food is really good too.

ETA, we LOVE 1900 Park Fare and Ohana too.

so you have a 5 and an 8 yr old...I would suggest dtd T rex! I think the kids would love it! Food is pretty good there!! Lots to see and look at, they have normal food, great atmosphere!!

A couple of other places you may want to try are Kona (Poly) & Ragland Road (Downtown Disney). We LOVE both these places!!:lovestruc

WCC is home cooking! I agree, for some reason it gets a bad rap around here but we go a couple times a year and love it!

We LOVED WCC! (did breakfast) Yummy and FUN !
We did WCC in May 2010 on our MK day...

We also LOVED HDDR! (First show...stage 1)... we did this on our AK day...knowing it would take some time.....

Food at both was "home cookin'" and delicious! Of course you can't compare the show at HDDR to WCC.... the Show at HDDR is what you are paying for.....albeit the fried chicken is delicious and the ribs fall RIght OFF the bones! Salad, cornbread, strawberry shortcake. If my Mom were around...I"d definitely bring her there !

The 'show' at WCC is just a nice addition to the price of your meal.

If your MOm LOVES Westerns, Song/Dance, Comedy, I would recommend you switch... but I did LOVE WCC...

Remember HDDR WILL TAKE SOME TIME getting there.... so plan accordingly...

Hugs,
Mary

We also really enjoy WCC!! We went in 2008 when my kids were 10 and 6 and they really liked it. We booked it again this Sept....34 days!!

Great to hear. We have this booked for December. It will be our first time there. It looks like fun for the kids!
