Help me pick a Thanksgiving Restaurant

I am trying to decide on either Artist point, The Edison, or Boathouse for our Thanksgiving meal. We would go as a dinner, around 7 pm or as close to that as I can find when I book.

Initially I was set on Artist Point, but have been hearing Boathouse is fantastic and has a great atmosphere on the water, and The Edison is getting great reviews as well. My ADR window opens in a couple weeks so want to have decisions made.

Thanks for any insight.

I thought the Boathouse was mediocre. But I didn't like what I ordered. They couldn't even do a proper salad or clam strips...so I don't know. Their rolls were good, so they have that going for them. Major problem we had was their service was painfully slow, we had gone during December, they took 2 and a half hours to serve 4 adult and 2 children dinner. PLUS, this doesn't include th 45 minutes we had to wait past our ADR time. It was a terrible experience, there is no excuse for service that slow. I won't be going back.

Personally, I would hate having to travel to and from Disney Springs on Thanksgiving, that would just be a nightmare to me. I would imagine there are more people at WDW because it is a holiday.

I'm not familiar with the Edison, we haven't been yet.

We have eaten at Artist Point probably 6 times, we usually go for special occasions. They usually offer impeccable service, food is good, overpriced in my opinion, but not unexpected as it is a signature restaurant.

It’s not on your list but we loved Boma for Thanksgiving dinner a few years ago.

I haven't been to the Edison, so I can't comment on it. I like the Boathouse (have eaten there a few times), but absolutely LOVE Artist Point. Especially for a holiday. WL will be beautifully decorated and I think the atmosphere is nicer for a holiday dinner.

Haven't eaten at the Edison nor heard anything much about it beyond candied bacon in a drink or appetizer.

Loved our meal @ Boathouse during our Christmas trip and the trips before as well. Don't recall them having a special menu but a Porterhouse steak, salad, and raw bar seems celebratory to us especially when served and cooked per our requests. Only service problem we had? A drink order was confused; readily repaired and didn't interfere with the flow of the meal. I expect to spend approximately 2 hours eating a 3 to 4 course meal and enjoy the downtime from the hustle and bustle outside. So far we've always eaten on the patio but the restaurant has more than one dining room. Smallest party we ate there at was 4 guests, biggest 7 or 8 guests.

Artist Point, is a restaurant, we are also considering for T-Day but I'll wait until our July ADR to make a final decision.

If you happen to be thinking of visiting MK that day...try Liberty Tree Tavern! It is a family style meal that has a Thanksgiving feel to it!
