Help me pick a restaurant on the boardwalk

So our trip is in 10 day!!

For our last day, I have breakfast booked for 11 at CP. This is my favorite breakfast. However, this will be our 3rd MK day and we don't have park hoppers. We only have one day scheduled for HS and I think my family (or I should say, my kids) are going to want to do HS instead. It is killing me to give up my breakfast at CP but dh says (and I agree) that it is crazy to buy park hoppers for 1 meal. SO, if we end up switching to HS instead, what would be a good place to eat on the boardwalk? I am looking for a non-signature and am open to breakfast, lunch or dinner. I figure we can take the boat over from Epcot to HS or HS to Epcot for our meal.

Captain's Grill at the Yacht Club has a good buffet breakfast. It has Mickey Waffles like Cape May but no characters!

I'm sure you want to be at DHS at park opening to ride Toy Story Mania before the standby wait times are an hour so that will make it difficult to get a TS breakfast in. That's a shame because Cape May character breakfast is one of the nicest IMO.

If it's for lunch, I'd do either Sci Fi or 50s PTC inside DHS. They are just as good as anything at the Boardwalk and it would save you the 30 minutes to travel each way. Most of the Epcot area resorts have signature restaurants so the choices for lunch are not that great. If I had to pick one, I'd probably go with Captain's Grille at Yacht Club for lunch and the Cape May seafood buffet for dinner. We usually stay at the BCV so I've eaten at all of the Epcot area TS several times.

Love, love, love ESPN Club-really good veggie sandwich and cucumber salad, plus the atmosphere's great!

I would highly recommend the ESPN Club. Their Chicken Wings are the best I ever had, Clam Chowder Soup is amazing, Macho Nacho's taste great and I always enjoy their Dinger Sandwich. So it's become my favorite Table Service Restaurant in Walt Disney World.

Head for breakfast at Cape May....Goofy's Beach Blast Breakfast. Great meal. And fun characters. Make if for late morning...that way you can do DHS for a few hours, head to Cape May, eat, and then head back to DHS. That may be an issue getting an ADR at this late date though.
Or, Captain's Grill for lunch. Cape May isn't a family favorite for meals other than breakfast.
We also like Picabu at the Dolphin. Cafeteria style but really good food.

Thanks everyone! I actually have been trying to score a Cape May breakfast ADR and haven't been able to. I will keep trying though!

Kouzina seems to be pretty easy to get so that might be good breakfast option too!

Do Captain's Grill or ESPN club accept the dining plan?

I know that the ESPN Club accepts the Disney Dining Plan.

Captain's Grill does and IMHO it is far superior to ESPN Club. ESPN club food just seems like bad bar food to me. If you have young kids they will love the atmosphere there, mine did.

Kouzinna for excellent for breakfast or dinner. The whole roasted fish is excellent. ESPN & BRG are just OK!

I recommend Cape May breakfast. Its very nice and quiet compared to the others...characters are great...plus the food is very good. You cant go wrong here.

I hear Kouzzina breakfast & ESPN (any meal) is also quite good.

We did ESPN Club at the end of September on the dining plan. It was great, and they did accept the plan. We were on deluxe so we got apps... we ordered the nachos for two and they let us order a second appetizer also. Not sure if that's their policy or error on the server's part but it was great nonetheless! The nice part about ESPN Club is that they do not take ADRs so we were able to wander over when we felt like it. We did go to watch football so if you will be going on a Sunday during football season, go early!

I'd do Sci-Fi or Captain's Grill or Kouzzina for lunch or dinner. I'm not a big fan of doing TS breakfasts at Disney.
