Okay... so I'm starting to stress since our trip is getting so close... Here's the short story - DD8 and I are taking my parents to WDW for their first time. We are staying in AKL and we are going to be on the dining plan.... Here's what I have so far - please tell me what you think! Also, if we do all my dining options, we will be over by 2 table service credits. So let me know if you think I should take something out or just play for two of the more inexpensive meals. (P.S. The Coral Reef, Ohana, and Play n Dine are not ones I can cancel due to diver/personalized menu and DD's choices! :) ) (Maybe that wasn't the short story - LOL!) :rotfl:

Sunday - check in, Boma for dinner at 6pm
Monday - AK - no dining plans
Tuesday - MGM - Play n Dine 11:40am
Wednesday - Ohana breakfast 8:10, Narcoosse's 6:05pm (no park plans currently - may go to Epcot)
Thursday - MK - Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at 11am, Crystal Palace 1pm
Friday - Epcot - Storybook breakfast 8:45, Coral Reef (with diver/menu) 1:10pm

Any suggestions on counter service meals and snacks?

We will probably go to DTD on Sunday prior/after checkin so we could do a meal there if there is something we can't miss. :thumbsup2

THANKS EVERYONE!!! YOU ROCK!!!! :woohoo:

Hi, It looks good! But your day in the MK when you do BBB do you then want to sit thru lunch right away with the Pooh characters?? You could do a QUICKER lunch at a CS and have more time in the MK?? Or if you want pics with characters head to TOON TOWN?? Also Friday's breakfast and lunch seem a little close so maybe show up at Breakfast a little early to make sure you are seated by your given time?? ENJOY!! Joan

AK is a small park - you can cover it in less than a day. So that day, I would maybe have a dinner ressie set up elsewhere. Maybe one of the resorts, or DTD. Just a thought. Kona Cafe (Poly) or Raglan Road (DTD) are some options to consider.

As far as your arrival day goes, I would say Wolfgang Puck Express or Earl of Sandwich are great CS places at DTD. WPE has huge portions, a great value on the DDP. Plus, of course, its really yummy! And goofy's candy co. is THE place to use snack credits, the "create your own" section is incredible.

As far as which is cheaper, the breakfasts definately will be.

Enjoy! :thumbsup2

I don't know because I'm new to this too, but I do know I'll be at Coral Reef on Friday at 1:50, so we might pass.

I would consider moving or cancelling the Princess meal or moving Coral Reef. I think you will be too full to enjoy Coral Reef with a TS breakfast. I strongly suggest you keep Coral Reef it was a wonderful meal and dining experience. We loved the tanks and "being underwater".

I agree. When we have a TS breakfast, it's usually 6 or later before we're ready for another meal. If you want to keep the Coral Reef 1:10, I'd try to move the breakfast to another day.

I was worried about our Friday reservations being too close together also.

We are going to do Epcot twice so maybe I can try to get a Norway ressie on one of those other days b/c I know my DD wants to check it out.

I think I may cancel the Crystal Palace ressie too so that we can enjoy our whole day with the characters - especially after DD gets all done up at BBB!

I will definitely check out the places in DTD for a CS meal. I'm sure my parents will love both of those places - they are foodies for sure!

Thanks again for all your help. I don't know how we'd make it through a trip without disboards!!! :thumbsup2

Crystal Palace is one of my favorites! Don't cancel! You could do it for breakfast. They have an 8 am seating - before the park opens - no touring time lost - and cheaper if you want to do this one OOP. Or you could do dinner - I nice break from the crowds/ heat - and a better value on DDP. Its a fun buffet - I would consider keeping it.

I will see if I can move our reservation to breakfast or dinner. Dinner would probably be nice... maybe before Spectromagic...

Thanks for the comments - we've never done Crystal Palace before. I don't want to miss out on a great character dining experience!! :wizard:
