Help me get 6 kids to Disneyland!

Only Southern CA residents can buy the cheaper APs. For non residents you have to buy a Deluxe at $500+. That's only a good deal if you can guarantee at least 2 vacations.

I haven't ready through the entire thread, so forgive me if anything I say doesn't apply.

Can you up your budget a bit and just get the cheaper annual passes and go during the week? They are 300 each and you can park hop (if you want).

Can I ask why all the rest days? I would want to spend as many days in the park as possible!

BTW I think it's such a great thing to be taking all the kids like this! I'm trying to take a friends kids too, who would be first timers. It would be so magical to see their faces see it all for the first time!

The trip is also to visit family and go to the beach. Besides that I think I would need a break as much as the kids will. I think the three days are $210.00 so going up to $300 is $90 more times 7. Needless to say it would be too much, but I appreaciate the input

Can I get clarification on Baby swap

As you know there will be 6 kids and my wife and I. One of the kids is 2 years old so we are going to take advantage of Baby swap.

If Wife gets on the ride with 5 of the kids while I wait with the baby when she gets off I can take up to 3 of the kids back on the ride with me. Also the Fast pass will be good for all day correct?

Fast Passes are no longer good for all day. They are only good for the hour time slot that is printed on the FP ticket.

I think that with the Baby Swap pass, it's only good for you and one other person. So when your wife is done riding with the 5 other kids, you and ONE kid could ride.

Read this article on how to effectively use FP and Rider Switch. I know when we were using the swap and Fast Passes, we were able to get 4 Screaming rides completed in less than 1 hour, swapping kids and parents. The older kids can truly benefit. I am not sure how many guests each parent gets to bring, but it's at least on kid/adult, but I have seen tags for rider+3. I think it varies.

FYI... be nice to cast members at parades and such and you may be rewarded with exit passes and other nice gifts (Cinderellas Slipper?). Last time it happened, the cast member gave us exit passes, to two very popular rides, for 13 of us, that were good the next day.

When I was there last October the Baby swap pass was good for all day and the person who originally stayed back could take two additional riders for a total of 3 people.

This is why I was asking I heard three kids, two kids, and now 1. I cant seem to find the exact answer online.

I have a feeling the number of guests you can bring back in is dependent on the rider load of the ride, the number of people in the "car" and possibly the time of year. WDW says it's one guest but I have seen where it's as many as 3 guests plus the parent.

In the end, it will be whatever is printed on the form the CM hands you when you get your Swap sheet.

I don't know the official answer but in 2012 and 2013 when I used child swap I was able to go with another adult in our group each time (Only had one kid that couldn't ride so I am sure a kid who's tall enough would be OK too). So at that time at least it was for sure OK for the swapper plus one. We didn't have any other adults with us so it may have been possible for more but we didn't ask and didn't try.

I need some clarification on a tip I received in regards to WOC.

It says I should get tickets for the YELLOW seating area, which are issued after all of the BLUE tickets are issued. How do I know when one color is gone?

Blue is much better then yellow from what i've seen and heard. who told you your tip if it wasn't a diser and just some one who went once and saw good views. They were just lucky yellow is a so so place. Have you read the WOC super thread? If not I highly suggest it.

We have been in yellow once or twice and definitely felt like we had worse experience than when in blue. I too have seen the tip to go for yellow. My thinking on that is that yellow can be really good if you are among the first people loaded into the area, so maybe that's where that tip comes from. Most of yellow thought is more off-center and imho you get more chances at an ok to good view with blue tickets than yellow.

"preferred view of the show is right alongside the water's edge, on the wooden deck, as far to the left side of the YELLOW viewing area as possible." -

Thats the rest of the tip

+1 on reading the WOC Superthread, especially the first post and maybe the last few pages for recent updates. The yellow section (the far right section, if you are facing the bay) is larger than the blue section (the bridge and far left section of the viewing area). There are good views in both sections. Study the first post of the superthread to know what areas to go for in either color zone. Being up by a railing has been very helpful for us in eitiher section, since I'm short and have a hard time seeing over anyone taller than a 10 year old. For us, the key factor isn't which color zone we're in, but how much time we invest in waiting for the spot we want. I've heard from friends who've seen the new WOC that, unlike the original WOC show, the better views may actually be farther back in the viewing area. The view farther back allows you to take in the whole show instead of focusing on all the details up front.

This is true. We invested a good amount last nov but I got the best seats, up against the rail we were maybe the 6th person back Those ppl ran for the bottom rail we didn't want that one. we wanted the rail two tears up and it was perfect. I'm hoping to get that view again even tall ppl below us were in no way above my 5'1 -5'2 height or my son's 4'7 (so sad hes gonna be taller then me soon)(

Yeah, that's the kind of thing I was thinking. That is a good spot and available to the first people who arrive into yellow section, and then it's filled up. theluckyrabbit hit it right on the head with how getting a good view works for WoC:

For us, the key factor isn't which color zone we're in, but how much time we invest in waiting for the spot we want.

Ask the CM at the WOC FP machines which color they are currently giving out and when they estimate the next color will start. Sometimes you can ask the CM for a specific color FP, but not always. If you study the map on the first page of the WOC Superthread, you'll know which spots are good in either blue or yellow, so it won't matter so much which color you get.
