Help me find a squeaky clean chick flick

I loved Eat, Pray, Love but it has two non-married romantic relationships in it and you said, "squeaky clean."

toy Story 3 is a tear jerker. I'm a 57yo woman and I liked it.

We just watched Flipped on an overseas flight. It's a recent Rob Reiner movie that was kind of like the "Wonder Years". It was really cute and appropriate for just about any age except small children who might get bored. My husband and I both really liked it, and it was a very clean PG with the only offensive thing being maybe a few minor cuss words. True indeed, plus I re read that she was going to be showing it in church. So I would lean towards Fireproof. It is a movie that we had at date night at our church. It is a christian based film.

Check out Feature Films for Families they have LOTS of great clean movies we lived on them when i was little SEASONS OF THE HEART is a really really good one for ladies www.familytv.com just type it in...you can prob. find it on amazon cheaper but this is TRULY squeaky clean barrowed hearts is another good one on this site for a bunch of ladies

Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken -- it's an old Disney movie and is fabulous! You can get it through Netflix or purchase it through Amazon.com.

Another vote for Fireproof. It's wonderful and a great discussion opener.

I just LOVED Disney's Enchanted. It's a great spoof on Disney princess stuff but with a decent story, too.

How about flicks from books? Sense & Sensibility, Pride & Prejudice, Emma?

The Secret of the Cave was good.

Gone With the Wind

Gone With the Wind is a great movie to show. You've got Rhett who is engaging in blockade running and smuggling. Scarlett steals the fiance of another and marries out of blind rage at not being able to steal the fiance of another. (A man who ultimately marries his own cousin and is a member of the KKK) Scarlett tries to get this man to leave his wife and new baby for her later in the movie. Scarlett then kills a man and hides the body. With a tax debt looming, Scarlett steals her own sister's boyfriend and marries him to pay the debt. At some point Scarlett marries Rhett, has a baby, and not wanting to ruin her figure closes up shop down there. Rhett gets drunk when he thinks she is cheating on him and rapes her. She becomes pregnant but has a miscarriage when she is thrown down the stairs. Scarlett's daughter dies, Rhett leaves her, and the audience pretends not to notice the massive racism throughout.

A great movie for church.

Like Gone With the Wind, I also would not recommend Breakfast at Tiffanys. The two main characters, Holly and Paul, are both "kept" by their companions. Not church like at all.

Love the movie though!

Just Like Heaven, the Reese Weatherspoon movie mentioned, is very good as long as you don't have a problem with believing in ghost.

Lars and the real girl

It is a great movie amount a community that has messages of love and grace. It's quirky, but thought provoking. Great chick flick IMO and has been used a lot in church circles. It would be okay at my church, especially if used with some guided discussion.

Why not show them a new angle on an old story with "Bride and Prejudice"?
Great movie, colourful and entertaining with fantastic songs.
They could even learn something about another culture.

I haven't seen anything "clean" lately that is all that worth seeing....one of my favorite movies of all time is taken from a more obscure Jane Austen novel, "Persuasion," and stars Ciaran Hinds and Amada Root. I love all those Masterpiece Theater things.. "Wives and Daughters," "Cranford," and they are pretty clean!
