Help me figure out why my strawberry shortcake doll's hair fell out while on vacation

Could have been the heat. Caused the plastic to expand and the follicles for enlarge thus loosening the hair.

I'm not good with the jokey responses, so I'll take a shot at a real answer: Maybe the hair was held into the head by some type of backing stored inside the doll's head. Heat can affect some glues, especially the cheap kind they use in Chinese sweatshops. So maybe the glue holding the hair into the backing was affected by the heat, or the spirits of dead cows. I'm not sure.

After years and years of over processing (Strawberry is actually a brunette), her poor hair finally just fell out. The strawberry scented chemical shampoo didn't help the problem either.
