Help me figure out lunch plans?

I need some help deciding what to do for lunch on our MK/MGM day. I was originally planning on grabbing a CS lunch but now I am thinking it may be worth a sit down lunch since our dinner ADRs aren't until 8:20 and we cut out one of our other TS's earlier in the week.

The plan is to do MK in the am and then MGM in the pm. I was originally thinking of eating at MK, but with such a late dinner I wonder if we should eat lunch at MK with a late afternoon snack at MGM, or eat a late lunch at MGM and snack in the morning at MK if we are hungry. I don't think we'll be at MK much past noon, but then we have to factor in some travel time to MGM. FWIW, this is our only MGM day so we are hoping to get there early enough for RnR and ToT fast passes.

So any suggestions which plan makes the most sense? And any recommendations for good lunch TS places at those parks? We aren't eating TS meals at either of those parks other times during the week. TIA!

We havent tries this yet but what about Plaza Restuarant at MK, its a sitdown but seems to have more sandwiches then large 2 or 3 course lunches.

This is a counter service Restuarant at MK but my new favorite is the Columbia Harbour House by the Haunted Mansion.

The Plaza Restaurant is a great place to have a sit down meal in Magic Kingdom. It has a lot of sandwich and salad selections and incredible ice cream items as well. We hadn't ever eaten here over numerous trips and decided a few years ago to give it a try. Now it's one of our favorites. We usually have counter service for lunch, but once in a while will throw the Plaza in for a special lunch.

If you want to hit the studios, we like Ma Ma Melrose's. They have great wood fired pizzas. Another spot our kids (DD12 and DS8) love is the Sci Fi. I think they like it more for the atmosphere than the food, but we've always enjoyed the food there as well.

If it were up to me, I think I'd grab an early seating at the Plaza and then head over to the studios. Once you hit the Studios, you may not feel like slowing down to eat, especially at a table service restaurant. ::MinnieMo

What about trying the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian? You could take the monorail, bus, or boat there from the Magic Kingdom, eat lunch, then go to MGM afterwards. I would give it a try if you haven't been there before! It is now our favorite WDW restaurant! :)

That's actually a great idea but we are eating there earlier in the week. I agree, the food is great!

Who is in your group? Ages character meal, etc.

Just DH and I so no character meals. If we eat at MK, it would probably be LTT or Plaza. If we eat at MGM, I guess Prime Time? Or maybe MM? DH doesn't really like Sci Fi and I think Brown derby may be pricier than we want. But we are open to other suggestions.

Plaza seems to be the board favorite and I echo eating before leaving MK, might not be a bad idea. Nice thing about the Plaza, no ADR needed so you can stroll in just as you're getting hungry and hope the wait isn't too long.

We will spend a morning in MK then head to Epcot for an ADR at Coral Reef one day. The ADR isn't until 2pm so we can take our time getting there or hopefully enjoy a bit of Epcot before lunch. We are two adults and a 5yo boy.
