O.K. so I am on the dining plan and will be there Nov 7-15. Our party consists of my parents, DH and I 3 DS ages 9,7, and 5, and one DD age almost 3. This will be the first time DD will be there that she can remember....now she is WAY into the princesses.

But, I need to eliminate a couple so we will not have to pay too much out of pocket, besides the dining plan. So here it goes.

Arrival about 11:00 am at Pop on November 7
November 7 ...CRT.. dinner
November 8 ...Princess Storybook Dining...breakfast
...La Cellier....dinner
November 9 ...Tusker House...breakfast
....Boma....dinner
November 10....50's Prime Time...lunch
...MVMCP
November 11...1900 Park Fare...dinner
November 12 ....Chef Mickey....breakfast
....Crystal Palace...dinner
November 13 ....Whispering Canyon...dinner

I would like to eliminate 2. I tried switching my CRT for lunch so I could have the Princesses and skip the Storybook Dining, but no so luck at this time. Thanks so much!:goodvibes

I would cancel either Boma or Tusker house that you have on the same day and I would also cancel either CM or CP that you have on the same day (2 buffets/character meals in same day).

I've heard mixed reviews over 50's PT so if ya have to drop a ressie, I'd go with that one. BUT...if it just so happens you want to cancel 1900 PF on the 11th, let me know =) Still hoping to be dining there on my birthday! princess:

CRT. We have a daughter that's the right age right now and go every trip. That will probably end soon.

Still, I would seriously consider dropping the CRT dinner. You have Askerhaus breakfast where you will see a few princesses. 1900 Park Fare will give you Cinderella and many of the characters from the story. That would eliminate the castle but free up two credits.

After our experience last month, I would eliminate Whispering Canyon Cafe. Thought it was way overrated and I did not care for food in the skillet at all and DH actually got sick eating it. We also did not see/hear any of the antics they talk about and we were there over two hours (bad service). I've read pro/con results for Boma for dinner. We had ressies last month but cancelled because we were too tired (we are trying them for breakfast next year).

I agree with the pp about getting rid of WC. We went last year and were NOT impressed. We won't be returning there.

I would definately keep 50's Primetime. The food is GREAT and the atmosphere is very cool!! We always have lots of fun at that place!:thumbsup2

You might want to check out a menu for Boma's. Unless your family is into unusual food, it might not be a big hit. I found it better for breakfast, because the food seemed a bit more familiar.

I think WCC and 50s PTC are all dependent on your server. The food is typical WDW food--nothing spectacular--but the server's antics, or lack thereof, can make or break having a good meal at these places.

I really liked Chef Mickey's for breakfast. Even though when one thinks of Disney, one tends to think of Mickey, I have found it very difficult to find him in the parks (except at Camp Mickey Minnie in AK). At Chef Mickey's, the food was pretty good and we got to see the Fab 5--Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Pluto.

The characters were fun (particularly Lady Tremaine) at 1900 Park Fare but the food was NOT good.

Whispering Canyon was terrible. The whole dinner kids were running from one table to the other with ketchup bottles. It was noisy and the food wasn't good. I have had better BBQ.

Just my opinion but you might want to save CRT for your next trip. My niece is 10 and we have been going since she was 3 and she switches between CRT and Ashkerhus Princess Storybook dining for each trip. (We ask her whose turn it is because she remembers better than us). You could then switch Crystal Palace to that evening. Also you may want to reconsider Boma, even though my niece and nephew loved the Animal Kingdom Lodge, we wound up having to get them dinner later after we had dinner at Boma, and they are normally very good, non-picky eaters. Have a great trip!

Oh good gracious, there are just so many mixed reviews. So far the ones no one has eliminated are Princess Storybook, La Cellier, Tusker House, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, and 1900 Park Fare.

So up for grabs, CRT, Boma, 50's Prime Time, WC.

The crazy part is I booked 50's and WC for my boys. I thought they would love it. But, there seems to be mixed reviews. :confused3

Ahhh, I guess I will figure it out eventually. Thanks everyone who has given their 2 cents, I really do appreciate it.

50's is GREAT! They kept picking on my DD14 and had us all :lmao: :lmao: and DD LOVED it! They also made a big deal over my DS5 and made him feel soooo important. They cm's REALLY get into the act there.:goodvibes

50's is one of my favorites...save it!! I would drop CRT. You've got the princesses covered and I think the CRT is wayyyy overrated and your boys will be bored. Save the CRT for when your daughter is older. Frees up 2 credits.

If you have to remove two, I would take out Boma. It was ok for dinner, but not spectacular, I would not be in a rush to go there again (we enjoyed breakfast there but not the dinner so much, again, it was ok, but not great).

We really enjoyed the breakfast at Tusker House and we also like 50's prime time cafe (although our DS enjoyed sci-fi theatre more than 50's prime time). We had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and the food was great, Crystal Palace we had lunch and it was good. Chef Mickeys was fun. We didn't eat at any of the others you have mentioned so can't comment on them. The only one out of those you mentioned that we ate at that we wouldn't rush back to was Boma Dinner.

The 50s PTC is really hit or miss. I've had some great food and good times, but sometimes the servers really aren't all that great and the whole experience isn't that great as a result. Boma's has really different food choices. My kids would never want to try it at their age, so maybe it's worth canceling that one as well.

I would recommend getting rid of the CRT dinner. There aren't a lot of princesses at this dinner meal, they are there for breakfast and lunch. You already have two princess meals. Also, the food at the CRT dinner is really less than stellar.
