So we have two options for us.
There 4 of us. Two adults, two kids will be ages 4 and 12 when we go in January. My 4 yr old is a girl loves Ariel, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and overall princesses and essentially everything Disney. My 12 yr old is a boy who's love of Disney has tempered. He loves Stitch, and the gang (aside from Donald), and Jack skellington. At this point I feel he gets excited for things but I feel he also does things for the want of doing them with his little sister and not wanting to feel left out. We also plan to rent a car (or perhaps drive from Ohio to Florida) so well have a car and we plan to drive to the parks over using Disney transportation. Four park days and one day at Universal.
-a room at Pop century. Cheaper that AOA. The decor is less in your face Disney but I'm not sure what the chances are of getting a refurbished room so it may or may not work out for us. Also, not a huge fan of how the grounds look...
-a mermaid room at art of animation. My daughter is so excited about this room but my son may be very underwhelmed. There are playgrounds though so if Jan is to cold for swimming they could play.
-renting DVC points from a broker for animal kingdom lodge studio. Again, decor is toned down. IDK if parking is free since we'd be using someones DVC points (if it is free thatd be AWESOME). I think this also works out to be a cheaper option.
