I was just on the DLR website just looking to see what kind of prices we could get at PPH for our last AP trip. I didn't do annual pass prices because I could not find any for that date, so I just researched what we're looking at for 5 nights. I am thinking about doing a split stay, one at PPH and the other at America's Best Value Inn. Here's what we're looking at for prices.

All nights at PPH: $1,220.
3 Nights PPH and 2 ABV: $845
2 Night PPH and 3 ABV: $652
2 Night Concierge PPH and 3 ABV: $847

I want to see if I can just get DBF to not want to deal with switching hotels and stay all nights at PPH but I also really wanted to see what it's like to have concierge. So I guess I have a couple questions. Is concierge worth it in my case? If I decided to go all nights at PPH would I be able to do maybe two nights concierge and the rest just in a regular room? I've never stayed at any DLR hotel before! What would you do? :)

I thing that is a nice way to try the concierge level. Though myself I'd look at 5 night at the DLH instead.

I'd skip the PPH and check the other hotels first, then after I determined they didn't have my dates at the killer AP rate I'd check the HoJo. LOL BUT I've never done concierge so maybe it's really killer and worth it, I just don't know. :)

Yeah the only reason I say PPH is because it's the cheapest DLR hotel! I will probably try to save up enough for all 5 nights, and see if I can do just two nights with concierge. Who knows, maybe DBF will finally get his dream job (diesel tech) and I could get hired on by a dental team by then, so money won't be a problem haha! I could have enough money to do 5 nights at GCH concierge with theme park view. Just let me dream. ;)

I think I have to wait before they will release the AP rates. Because I looked at the Calender and I think it's only up until October. :headache: I wish they'd let me plannnn! I just like the idea of having food available to eat for free, all day! Do you know if that's the only thing you get with concierge though? Cause now that I think about it, that's a TON of extra money just to have free finger food... haha. I tried doing a search but I haven't found anything with a ton of info yet!

when is your trip? I dont think I would do conceirge unless I was going during off season. That way you are actually in your room more because the parks close early. So that would mean more time eating at the conceirge room. If its during peek times- no way could some choc covered strawberries and wine and cheese get me out of a park- esp at night. Thats the best time to be in a park! I would also stay 3 nights at the cheap hotel and do the last 2 nights at the GCH. Assuming that your last 2 nights falls on Sat and Sun- you will not only get a dreamy room- but you will also have 2 magic mornings!

Yeah there's a plus too! This trip would be in mid January, so it would be off season. This is going to be our last trip with AP's. I was thinking of doing a weekend stay at one of the DLR hotels but when we do our weekend trips we want to be in the park as much as possible. When we have our week-long off season trips we are in the hotel a lot more so even though it is more expensive, we are getting a lot more out of the hotel. I will probably just have to wait and see what the price will be at that point for AP's. I'm not sure if it's much of a discount but anything helps!
