Sorry!! I guess I was too quick! Funny you should ask this because this was exactly my dilemma! I booked LC lunch, have always wanted to try it, but with the filet gone (I don't want the other one) and all the negative reviews I thought about switching.... I posted this same question and got an overwhelmingly Kona response... let's see what you get!

So we are doing Kona instead and I'm really looking forward to it! I'll save LC for yet another trip....

Anxious to see what other people say! :)

In years past everyone was all about LeCellier but lately I have heard really bad reviews... so I am curious as well....:)

Kona for dinner. I suspect you'll get many votes for le Cellier because it is very popular. While I'd agree that it is good (probably one of the top 3 restaurants in Epcot, I wouldn't say its great. Give your self a chance to see the Poly and have a very good meal at Kona.

My vote is for dinner at Kona :thumbsup2. We've never eaten at Le Cellier, but Kona is AWESOME!!!!! The prime rib and filet are out of this world :goodvibes. Give it a try....you won't be disappointed ;).

Just returned from a trip where we ate at both restaurants. Bottom line... the food at both was great. I'm not sure what the negative reports from LeCellier were about. Our filets were excellent and they allowed us to order them with the cream cheese mashed potatoes. Service was very different. Our server at Le Cellier, Patrick, was the best server that we experienced at Disney World and was the equal of our terrific servers on the Wonder later in the week. We made it a point to compliment him to the manager before we left. The woman server we had at Kona was the worst server that we had during our vacation. I won't mention her name but she was more like a server from the "outside world " who just went through the motions of doing her job and didn't seem to care if we were there or happy. Very un-Disneylike. Kona is quite loud. We were fortunate enough to have one of the little sideways booths for two along the side which helped with the noise factor.
We would return to both restaurants but would make sure that we didn't get the same server at Kona. I'm sure that you would have an excellent meal at either place.

We've eaten at both restaurants; Le Cellier once for lunch, Kona twice for dinner. I can honestly say, both are good restaurants, but the Kona has a slight edge for me as the entire meal was excellent, versus just the Parmesean mashed potatoes and filet mignon at Le Cellier. Also, the portions are very small at Le Cellier, so if you are in the mood for a large meal, don't go there. Finally; service. Kona was excellent every time we dined there (except once for breakfast, but I won't get into that) while at Le Cellier we had a suck-up waiter who kept giving us wine, saying it was very good and went with the steak well, but charged us for it... :sad2: He also kept telling us that the less expensive items were awful, and we should just each get a $25 filet mignon or $29 NY strip steak. Just for the record, we were disappointed with our meals as we could have had better for 1/2 the price at our local steakhouse.

GO KONA!

Thanks everyone... I love hearing your opinions... I am thinking "Kona" but I still like to hear what y'all are thinking!!!:)
