I am going to be going to Disney in December 08 and I am trying to decide which DVC resort to stay in.. we are going to be renting points for this trip and we are a family of 6 so we will be booking the 2 bedroom room

I have it narrowed down to three and I am looking forward to your opinions.
Pros and Cons of the three

Old Key West -- Stayed here last time great place, Large rooms (1392 sq feet) the only thing I did not like was that we were the last stop before leaving the resort so after a long day in the parks we were on the bus for at least 45 minutes before it came to our stop to get home at night. the cost for this room is 88 points

Beach Club/Boardwalk -- This is walking Distance to Epcot, which would be great for viewing fireworks and coming back at night, the pool would be nice for the kids (they range in age from 11-6 so they would love it) the room sizes are 1,083 for Beach Club and 1,226 for Boardwalk cost 120 points for Beach Club and 96 for Boardwalk.

Wilderness Lodge -- My DH is a very outdoors person he loves to be surrounded in trees and wood and I really think he would love this resort, the pool is nice and we enjoy taking the boat to MK when we stay in the cabins at FW. 1,080 sq ft and it would cost 120 points I should point out that we are doing a split stay with the cabins because he loves FW so much!

If you could post which one is your favorite, and why I would love to hear your opinions!

Thanks

I haven't been lucky enough to stay in DVC yet (next trip I hope!) but I hear that the Christmas decorations at WL are beautiful and it is one of the most popular resorts over the Christmas season. Not sure if it helps with your decision or not.

The pool at Beach Club would be cool, but that all depends how much time you plan to spend at the resort swimming. Especially since it'll be December.

While I'm not a DVC member I have stayed at the WL it just wonderful. That's my vote.

Thanks!
AND it looks like if that is the one we go with we will be there around the same time.
It can't come soon enough can it?

I've stayed in both the BCV and OKW, and I liked the BCV a little better due to the location, although I don't think you can go wrong with either. I vote for BCV for the proximity to the World Showcase.

Ditto for BCV. We had the two bedroom villa (lockoff) there in 05. There were 6 adults in the rooms, ranging in age from two 22 year olds to 54 years old.

Perfection! OKW seems nice and there is more square footage, but you cannot compare the location to the BCV.

By the way, the BCV had PLENTY of room and privacy for all of us. It was great :)

Pat

PS: Lockoff means that the 2nd bedroom was an efficiency unit that had its own entrance in addition to the interior doorway that connected it to our 1 bedroom unit

that is good to know about the space because of us being a larger family I really don't like tripping over each other on vacation.

Thanks for the input!
