I voted for Coronado Springs. Although we like the Cabanas section near the main pool. So many choices to eat at. Really nice pool and huge hot tub. Bus transportation is good. It is truly beautiful at night with all the lights and music.

I voted CSR because you are all adults, it's a beautiful resort that is the deluxe of the moderates.

CBR has the plus of the Skyliner and we just ate at Sebastians Bistro - EXCELLENT.

POFQ is the value of the moderates, full priced with a shortage of amenities. The pool is designed for very young children and the resort attracts young families. Not sure why your DD wants to stay there but I don't think I would find it appealing at her age. I love the NOLA design but overall it has been one of our biggest disappointments.
Princess Tiana is her favorite - that’s the only reason. She’s very reasonable, so if another resort is a better choice then she’ll happily go there. I appreciate what you posted about this resort - I will show her 🙂

I have stayed at all 3 but not the Towers part of Coronado.

Coronado has been upgraded since I stayed there. The 3 Bridges restaurant looks amazing.

I loved the simplicity of the French Quarters. The boat road to Disney Springs was so relaxing. Its so small that you can get back and forth in a matter of minutes.

Caribbean Beach is large. You walk for awhile to get places but the Skyliner is a game changer for me. So convenient and quick .

Good Luck with your decision. I didnt help at all.

I like Coronado, but haven't stayed since the towers were added. Of our 5 trips, that was the only resort we did a repeat stay at. (The others were CB, PORS, and WL). I love the theming, the food, and the pool. (Though, when/if we ever return, I think we would try one we haven't been to before).

I would recommend CBR for the skyliner. You’re going at a really busy time and I think the skyliner will make things easier.

Otherwise, I like CSR the best of all mods.

I get it. I LOVE LOVE New Orleans. I feel like they pulled off some nice architecture nod to it but it's not lively, just a very very quiet resort. The decor, the pools etc are all for young children. The footprint and potential for a room at front by bus is popular with guests with walking issues. If she likes Tiana then I would make sure you see the parade and meet her.

Perhaps if you spend any time at Disney Springs take the "riverboat" to POFQ to enjoy a snack, some beignets, walk around at get pictures then either bus to a park or boat back to Springs. Honestly if you are at a park, why not take a lunch break and bus there back and forth to check it out.

The new tower at CSR is stunning and there are lots of places there to eat, go to the top at least to check out the view from the bar ... and it's a GREAT pool. A treat to stay there.

I was torn between voting for POFQ and GDT, as they both have their pros and cons. I love the intimate feel of POFQ, and it is so well themed, much better themed than your other two choices. However, GDT feels more upscale and if you are on a higher floor, the views can’t be beat. I like transportation at POFQ a little better because of the one bus stop and the option of the boat to DS (I use the boat some and the bus some, about a 50-50 split). I don’t think you can go wrong with either, so it just depends on which one is speaking to you. For the sake of the poll, I ended up voting for POFQ, but it is a really close choice for me.

I don’t hate CBR, but it is spread out and not as well themed as POFQ. The Skyliner is a plus for me and a big reason I would stay there, but you said it didn’t matter for you. I would put it in a solid third place.

I have stayed at CSR but not the tower and we felt that it was too huge to navigate for us. They also have some conventions but that didn't bother us. It is a beautiful resort, though.

My #1 pick is POR, but you are asking about POFQ. We have stayed at FQ the last 2 times due to the fact that both of us have mobility issues. It is a smaller resort and easier for disabled to get around. The food court is good. You can go to POR and use their pools too, but the one at FQ is fine. The bar area is really nice. I don't care for the Mardi Gras vibe at POFQ with all the over the top decorations, but that's just me. Our absolute favorite moderate is POR. If we didn't have mobility problems, we would have never changed to FQ. There are a lot of people with mobility issues at POFQ but that was never a problem for us - just to be aware as they are the smallest resort on property.

Port Orleans, but Riverside, Alligator Bayou. I like it for its beauty, quaintness, historical vibe.
We do too, DAn. We always stayed at POR, but had to switch to POFQ for mobility issues. We always visit POR, eat there and shop there. I love the AB area and we always stayed there. You said it all just like I would:)

Coronado gets my vote because I love the aesthetics of the tower and it being all new. It definitely has more of an adult feel. However, there is more transportation options with the other two so if you are going to the parks a lot you will have to consider that. If you want to arrive for early access then I would say CRR because of the sky liner and get a room near the sky liner.

CSR is beautiful and especially so at Christmas. The tower, inside and outside is lit with green & red lights. The tree in the lobby is phenomenal. Eating at 3 Bridges at night by the water is wonderful. Walking the grounds and seeing/hearing the water fountains is so relaxing. It is just a really nice place. Our family, six of us, with young adult kids ages 19-26, loved the pool slide and the quiet pools. My 19 year old son still says it's the best resort we've ever stayed at and we've stayed at many - values, moderates and deluxe.

We just stayed at CSR last month and while it was nice POFQ is our go to mod. It is budget friendly when we are out of DVC points and the theming is relaxing while also being centrally located. We haven't stayed in CBR in almost 20 year but how spread out is it would turn be off for staying there. I say go for POFQ for DD as a nice send off before heading to college.

I voted CSR. Maybe I biased because of the three, that's the only one I haven't stayed at. I've avoided it because of transportation, but with a car, it would easily be near the top of my list.

I loved POFQ, but we stayed there when the kids were elementary school age and now that they are 17 (twins) not sure I'd have the same experience.

We stayed at CBR before the skyliner and liked it, but it wasn't our favorite. However, the addition of the skyliner and the proximity to the Riviera are definite upgrades in terms of transportation. But like you mentioned, you are driving everywhere, so that kind of looses that bonus.

Good luck, and honestly, I doubt you'll be disappointed with any of those choices!

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them, but I personally love POFQ!! - the music, the boat to DS...the beignets!!

➡️ This was the trip that we stayed there.

We've also stayed at CBR (in Feb 2015) and it was the perfect vibe to get away from the snow here, but that was pre-skyliner, pre-alligator fences, and we never tried the restaurant, so someone else will have better details for you. I do know people complain about the size of the resort, but that didn't bother us.

CSR has made our "short list" before, but we've never actually stayed there.

My order would go:

CBR (Skyliner is my fave mode of transport, and CBR has always been our fave moderate)
POR - love the boat and ease of access to Disney Springs
CSR - it is so pretty, but we have stayed here twice and been disappointed twice. We will probably try again at some point, but....it is low on my list.

Thinking out loud...

I loved Port Orleans! Gorgeous grounds all the way round. (I stayed the POR side.) Though, I agree that the boat to DS is lovely once, but not necessarily efficient for regular trips. Especially to DS over NYE.
Of course, FQ is nice and compact for a trip at a particularly busy time and it's quicker to get to QS drinks/snacks at the beginning and, especially, end of the day.

The food is supposed to be good at CBR these days, isn't it? I'm not so sure about the new CB rooms, but that's very subjective. Again, I like the grounds, there. Would you spend much time at the resort, though? There's the Skyliner, but I wonder how busy that will be over NY and you said you drive mostly, anyway.

The GD Tower rooms look really good and you'd still be near the main amenities. Lovely grounds, but you wouldn't have to enjoy a trek when you don't want to.

I think I'd opt for FQ or CSR. But there isn't really a wrong choice, is there?!! Happy Planning!
