Help me decide whether to get Memory Maker or just do regular Photopass

We got it last year and loved it! One of the kids did JTA and tons of pics from that alone. Also the PP start shooting at the character meet and greet when you walk up- got great photos of the kids doing fist bumps with Ferb, Anna and my daughter talking about their shoes, Russel holding up my sons battered Wilderness explorer book while my son tried to explain how that made him a real Explorer. All those pics I wouldn't have been able to capture and experience the moment.
I thought maybe this year we'd do without but DH already bought it :) We didn't really experience many lines for any of the pics either.
We had a good experience with MM but obviously others mileage may vary.

This is what I plan to do. We have been MANY times, my teenage son is NOT a fan of taking a ton of pictures, I don't need hundreds of pictures...the photobook for $79 will be a perfect fit for this trip. I will admit, when my son was younger and loved taking the pictures, I did get the $99 CD with all of the pictures and it was great. I think you have to look at the specifics of your trip. For some it is very much worth the money.

I've been planning on getting MM but my teen son hates taking pictures. I don't know how many pictures I could get with him in them.

It's so hard to decide.

There is also another option that no one has mentioned, its the "Attractions Plus PhotoPass" option. This can be purchased at the end of any ride photo kiosk.
I have done this on my last 2 visits because for us the MM just was not worth the money. Basically you pay $49.99 and it includes only the ride photos at all 4 of the Disney parks. However, it does not matter how many times you ride them they are all included. And just like the MM if you have family or friends linked to you reservation their ride photos will also show up as well. I always end up with 3-4x the amount of photos once I have added borders or stickers to them before downloading them. Then I can print them any place that I want. So if I wanted to purchase 2 ride photos, this would already be paid for!!
Secondly, when there is a photo-op that I would like to take I always have the Disney photographer take the photo with their camera as well as with my own camera. I have never had a problem with this. Sometimes I like mine better! Actually this trip, I think there are 2 photos that they took that I "may" purchase only because the 7 Dwarfs is not included.
I find that when the MM is purchased their is so much time spent in lines waiting and looking for the photographers. This way we ended more relaxed and finding them more when not even looking.
Awesome, I was reading through this thread to see if this option was still available! We did this on our last trip (bought the rides-only photos, whatever it was called then) and then just used our own camera for other shots throughout the park. It made us feel less like we HAD to stop and get pictures taken, but still got us stuff we couldn't have otherwise. Does the Attractions Plus PhotoPass option include the new videos, or is it just pictures?
