My husband and and I planning a trip to WDW during the Food & Wine Fest. But....can't decide exactly when. We want to avoid any big crowds if possible & visiting during Halloween is not a big deal to us.

Would you choose October 21-25, Nov. 2-7, or Nov. 11-15?

Thanks!

If I may be so presumptuous (and without taking anything for granted) as to offer my advice, I'd say the October dates are better for four reasons.

1) It's sooner! You don't have to wait as long.

2) Both water parks will be open. :Pinkbounc :bounce:

3) The PGA Tour event at WDW will be happening that weekend.

4) The most important reason of all? It's sooner! You don't have to wait as long. :)

Although I've never been in November, any of those times should give you great weather and small to moderate crowds. I hope that is true since I decided on Oct. 18-25. The Food & Wine, the new attractions at Mickey's PhilharMagic and Mission: Space, both water parks... Of course, it depends on what you are looking for. I'm of the opinion there's not much of a difference in crowd levels between late October and early to mid-November.

Another piece of advice. I think the super soap weekend falls right around the first weekend in nov. its worth checking into b/c there are alot of people around for that. Granted they are at MGM but still I was amazed just how many people actually go for this. You might want to avoid it is what i'm trying to say. The second week in nov, not that much going on. I would choose that time. Also, when your looking to go in Oct. is still the regular season(more expensive). If you don't have any discounts coming to you nov. 2 starts value season, a better deal.
What ever you chooose, Have Fun!!!

Two things to consider, one already mentioned, one not.

November 1-9 is New Jersey week - NJ schools have 3 days off for teacher conferences so virtually everyone in the state (or so it seems) goes on vacation and 99% of them go to WDW. The first half of the week isn't quite as crowded since the actual days off are Wednesday-Friday. Many people just go for the 5 days, others take the whole week (that's what we're doing).

November 8+9 is Super Soaps Weekend. That does draw a huge crowd, but really only at MGM so just don't go there on those days. I don't think it really affects anything at the other parks or resort locations.

Your other 2 choices of dates would probably be a bit less crowded.

i'd go in OCt because i think both those nov weekends are multiday holidays for kids.....

Well I have mine booked for Nov 5th - the 12th... I hope I didn't pick the wrong time... I was kinda hoping that crowds would be lower.... <sigh>

We were there for Jersey week last year and the crowds weren't bad. It was busier than usual for off-season but far less than during peak times.

Thanks everyone. Hearing you opinions has really helped.

Anyone else feel strongly either way?
