Help me decide--waiting for fd--should I book flight?

We want to go Sept 19-26 and can get flight with airtran now for $65 each way from MSP (MN) to MCO.

I was hoping to hear today about some announcement about FD--but haven't yet. The flight times we want are still $65, but some of the other flights are going up in price. The flights are not refundable. Should I book the flight or wait till hopefully there is a fd announcement? Don't want to change flights if the fd is offered other times. TIA

That would be a tough call to make if I was planning. I think I would book the flight. Your dates sound like they are in the middle of the FD offer that was given as a PIN and if they were going to offer FD to the public, I would think it would be in the same time frame. BTW, the FD code that was given out was for the dates of Aug. 15 to Oct. 1.

I have never been for FD, but I know they have offered it for quite some time now. My AAA agent said she is not sure they will do it since they extended the 4/3 into August. But, as a mom of 3 and a penny pincher, here is my 2 cents (for what its worth)... If the only way you can afford to go is with free dining, then I would not book my flight until they annouce it. I would hate to assume they would do the dining and buy the plane tix and not be able to afford the rest of the trip or not be able to enjoy it because it costs more than expected. We got a great flight on Airtran too ($54 each way from BWI). That sealed the deal for us to go in September. Now if they do free dining it will be a bonus, but we are planning on paying the full package price just in case. Hope this helps!
