Help me decide... POR or WL

Which would you choose? I could get WL for $800 more we are a family of 3 adults a 5 yr old and a 1 ye old

How important is resort time to you?

WL has serious construction going on. One whole wing is closed off, and they are tearing out walls in that wing. There is a lot of clear-cutting of trees, and the construction of bungalows on the shoreline is to start soon. Even if you're well away from the pool construction, it's hard to avoid everything going on.

With a 1-year-old, the construction may be disruptive.

We stayed at WL last April and then POR last December. We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids). My kids were 11yo, 4yo, and 2yo at the time. I loved the WL. The grounds and pool area were beautiful. And we loved being able to take the boat to and from the MK. However, our room at POR felt bigger. We had a bunk room at WL and we felt much more cramped in there than we did at POR.

The construction at WL would concern me as well.

When are you going? As mentioned, WL has a lot of construction going on, but if your trip is after that, definitely WL. It is hands down my favorite resort for the price. Love the theme, the pool, the EWP at night, the lobby, the rooms, just everything about it.

I was nervous about construction. We are going late August. We love POR. BUT FOR $700 didn't know if that would sway anybody from switching v

The construction will be ongoing this summer for sure. And contrary to some myth, it's not "just" the DVC area. The main building is having walls torn out.

I would have stayed at WL this summer because we love it there....however, we are going with POR. Partially due to construction, but I've also always been intrigued by POR and have never tried it. This is my chance...and it is much cheaper.

I'd stay away from WL too during construction.
