Help Me Decide PLEASE

Hi All you DVC Pros. We are planning a trip in 2005 and would like to rent DVC points to stay at either BWV or BCV. We are trying to decide between two dates:

January 30-Feb 4th or April17-22. 2005

Here is my question:
We need two rooms, a 2br and a studio at BWV. Hopefully Standard ratees.

I already have a wonderful DVC member to rent from, but her home resort is VWL but she has 100 points at BWV. So either date I went I would not be able to make the whole reservation 11 months out. Should I just book three days at the BWV in the 11 month period and hope at 7months out I can get the rest, or do You all recommend having the whole reservation 11 months out. Is it really that hard to get a room 7months out. Also would January vs April be better in getting rooms. In 2005 the Spring break/Easter season is three weeks before we arrive so do you think I will still have a harder time in April due to the better weather? It is more points, does that matter in how fast things get taken up?

Spring break generally goes from the middle of Feb to the middle of April - regardless of when Easter is - the only difference are the schools that are tied to Easter - they change every year.

So it just depends - I would go in April (but a little later) - you can then enjoy the Flower and Garden Festavial at Epcot. the water would fine for swimming - however the crowds have started.

In Jan - Feb - it is before the crowds - so if swimming and other stuff is not important - go with this date.

If it is then go with April.

If you want standard view - I would go find someone on the DVC rental board that can get you Jan - now!!!

Standard view go pretty fast. - She may be able to get what you want at 7th month - or not.

Why don't you go with VWL?

January and early February is less crowded, but also cooler and therefore you may not get as much pool time. You may have a better chance of getting what you want at BWV 7 months out if you are going in late Jan/early feb. than you will if you go in April anywhere in the vicinity of any region of the country's Spring Break time.

getting standard views at BWVs at 7 months out is pretty tough. You'd really have to luck out, or rent from a DVC member that can get you the 11 month window.

We have just come back from Jan / Feb and it was a bit cold even for Brits. If you are going to BCV I would think later would be better to take advantage of SAB
