Help me decide on room type at Dolphin

trying to decide on room type if I switch reservation to the Dolphin. Are the upgraded categories worth the additional price? Is it nicer to have a balcony or an EPCOT view without one? Just looking for thoughts from people that have stayed there. Thanks.

I always book Epcot view with balcony! It is amazing watching Illuminations fireworks from your own balcony! Beautiful views!!

Be aware that you will have a long convoluted walk through corridors to get to/from your room, though!

We always book standard view. I signed up for the spg club it's free. They guarantee a complimentary upgrade to all spg members, and I can attest this is true! If what you want is available, they will do their best to give it to you. Even an alcove room! 1 time, we even got a suite, just for asking if there was anything with more room! The swan-dolphin hotel staff DOES accept tips, unlike disney front desk members, so if there is an excellent upgrade, I will slip them some $$ as a thank you. Anyway, if you MUST have it, then book what you want, however, I always do the lowest standard rate & get amazing rooms!
