We have stayed at the All-stars (except Music) and Pop, but our favorite is CBR which we have stayed 4 times!:thumbsup2 We would like to try something new. We would love to stay at one of the deluxes but it's not in our budget. We visited CSR years ago and thought it was beautiful and big. Seemed bigger than CBR to us. So I am wondering what you love about CSR and what you don't? Where's the best area to stay, do you like the pool, the food court not being by the pool or having to leave a tip (I don't like this), also being a convention resort? Give me the good, the bad and the ugly! Thanks!

Honestly, I don't know where the "omg its soooo big!!!" thing comes from. We visited last spring, 6 months after my mom had a heart attack and a month after I badly sprained BOTH of my ankles. We were in Casita 5. Ranchos section was a 5 min walk to the left of us and another 5 beyond that was the big pool. There was a quiet pool with laundry next to it about 5 mins to the right of us. Another 5-10 minutes to the main building (with the food service) beyond that.

The concierge noticed my limp when we first checked in and gave me a wheelchair to use, but I never used it. And we came and went frequently! I bet I walked to the main building and back at least 6 times a day.

There was a bus stop (the one that gets picked up and dropped off first) 2 minutes away. We got seats EVERY SINGLE TIME. No matter what time of day. We also didn't have huge lines or full busses coming back from the parks. Best bus service ever!

The resort is GORGEOUS!! And super relaxing! We actually spent more time there than at the parks (which is very unusual for us, we're usually commandos). The food was AWESOME. Both the CS (forget the name, try their cuban sandwich, super yum) and Pepper Market (I ate their nachos about 3 times).

Honestly, the only bad thing I can say is the main pool was smaller than I thought it would be and super crowded. But it was obviously due to spring breakers (lots of rowdy college kids, but nothing crazy).

I'd totally go back to CSR if we weren't going to the Poly next time. :)

CSR is a wonderful resort. We recently stayed there for 8 days and 7 nights. This was our first time staying at this resort. We have stayed all levels and have enjoyed all of them for different reasons. This resort is a moderate but had the feel of a lower end deluxe. We were a group of 7. We had 2 rooms that were connecting. The resort is HUGE. We had a car which made getting around easier. The main pool was wonderful, but we actually used one of the quiet pools mire often because it was not busy. Very clean everytime we were there. The lobby area is lovely. Several mornings we would grab our coffee in our mugs and grab a bite to munch on and sit outside. Very relaxing. The service we found was some if not the best we have ever had while visiting. Rooms were very clean and we loved the wooden slidin doors that seperated the beds to the sink area. Made getting ready in the morning a breeze. Also, loved the gift shop. The only down side we saw(which is not an issue for our family) is it has a grown up feel and not a Disney feel. For some this could be a deal breaker.

We stayed at CSR 3 times before we moved to the Poly. It was a nicely themed moderate resort and our young (at that time) kids loved the pool.

Our best stay was a water view room in Ranchos 7B. Close to the main pool, right outside a quiet pool and close to parking - we rented a car.

It is a pretty spread out resort but if you are okay with a 5 - 7 minute walk to the main building then you will be okay. We tended to drop by the main building in our car on our way back from the parks.

As for the convention centre it never bothered us. If you encounter people in suits when you visit the main building just think about how much luckier you are than them to be on vacation while they are attending a conference.:lmao:
