Help me decide please. I know they are 2 different seasons--summer and value.

I can get a pretty good deal on airfare for June ($880 with tax for 4). Plus with the 4/3 deal could get a value plus tickets for $1320 for 2 adult/2 kids. Add dining and airfare for $3100 total.

Next Jan rates would be $85 a day for room ($515 for 7 days) plus tickets ($900) plus dining $820 =$2235 w/o airfare. This does not have any deals attached which will probably will happen.

Weather in June and Jan? We are coming from MN so the kids would have to take off in Jan. What do you think?

Thanks for any advice.
Amy

We went the 2nd week in June 07 and it was hot but not unbearable and the crowds were not to bad. The later you wait in June the more crowded it gets. We have our trip planned for the same time frame this June.

I vote June...see some of the threads about the Brazilians and January is one of their months. I made the mistake of going in July last year, another of their months, but won't go in July again. June is great for weather too! We'll be there the end of June this year. Cindy

We have been to WDW the 3rd week of June & the 3rd week of January. For our family, the January trip was far superior. We are from Connecticut and don't have a high tolerance for heat. The heat and humidity was unbearable in June. The parks were crowded and we'd go back to the Polynesian to get cooled off in the pool; but the pool water was so warm that we couldn't even get relief there. We went to WDW last January...one of our best trips. No crowds and nice temperatures (although a little cool in the morning). I hate taking the kids out of school, but sometimes it is so worth it.

june. because a) i wouldn't be able to wait a whole year!!! and it would be torture to go past the date of possible departure in june, knowing you could have been in wdw
b) because *I* always get sick in January. in fact, i haven't eaten since saturday because of a horrible stomach bug. so i know that january is not my 1st choice.
c) you can get some really cold days in january.
d) there seems to be lots of refurbs in january, (maybe its just me)
however.
it will be not as busy in january, wheras in june it will be busier and hotter

I have to say January. We just went for our honeymoon in June and the heat was just unbearable and we vowed we will never go again in the warmer months. It also rains at least once a day usually not for long and it cools the parks down. I think June is just too hot. Jan is cooler but I think it would be comfortable we're going again this year the first week of December. I think also in January they may still have all the Christmas decorations up.

Just go for June trip then after that you can plan again for a next trip on Jan 2010, that would be a very nice idea. :thumbsup2

If you look at my siggy you will that we just got back and we also went in June in 2008
I vote for June because the parks stay open later.
In Jan they only had 1 fantasmic and 1 spectromagic for the week we were there and they were on the same day. My boys voted for June too but only because we went to the water park practically everyday.

I'd vote for June also. In January the weather is just too unpredictable - could be great, but might be cold. I went in February in 2007 and the highs were in the low 40s most of the time. I'd much rather be too warm than too cold!!!

I have done both and no way would we go in June again...too hot and rainy, wayyyyy too many people to make it enjoyable.

We went last week and the weather was very cold but it was perfect with the sun shining and no lines for the most part. yeah the parks close early but that is ok with us because it is very cold at night and we can chill out at the Tambu lounge instead! The worst thing was the Brazillian tour groups, they were everywhere!

If weather is important to you and you can hold out to January, that would be my vote. The weather and crowds will be far superior and you probably need a break from your weather in January.

However, if you are dying to get to disney sooner, than June is not a horrible time to go. I went last year and the evenings are awesome. The weather is perfect after the sun goes down. Yeah, the day time temps are a shocker, but manageable if you prepare yourself.
