Help me decide! BC/WL/OKW

Apparently it's easy to walk to DTD from SSR. We caught the boat from OKW to DTD on our very first night. It was a lovely way to get there but the bus is much quicker.;)

Didn't realise there was a boat that's good. With very young children I d prefer to avoid buses if I can with waiting around/buggies etc

Onsite we have stayed at the Swan, Yacht Club and Wilderness Lodge. I would agree that the location of the Yacht and Beach is fantastic. I loved the fact that it was so easy to walk into Epcot of an evening where we dined at a lot of the restaurants. Last summer we went to Wilderness Lodge. I loved it there. We definitely spent more time at the Magic Kingdom and hardly went to Hollywood Studios. The room didn't really feel smaller than our Yacht club room although we didn't have the day bed. I really liked the fact there was a proper quick service at Roaring Forks with tables indoors and outdoors. We are in a similar position with rooms this time. My children will be 14 and 10 next summer and bed sharing will no longer be an option. We are also considering a 1 bed at OKW. Does anyone know if you can request a room with a day bed at the Yacht or Beach Club as I don't see it as a bookable option?

I got a room without a day bed at Beach Club when we checked in but asked them to change it for us to a room with a full size day bed and they did this. Rubbish view but we got the bed! You can't book it in advance though so it's a risk. Know there are two different sizes day beds too.....

When we went in October, we hardly ever had to wait for a bus. We stayed in the Turtle Pond area and the bus stop was really close by.

Thanks for your response that was what I thought. The other year we asked at check-in and got a day bed. It didn't matter so much then whether we got the extra bed but as you say it would be a risk and with OKW 1 bed you are guaranteed that you will have suitable sleeping options.

Re the comfort of the bed issue at OKW for the pull out double sleeper (which is the bed that seems to get the bad press!) I've just been looking at Wallmart on line and you can buy a really decent double mattress topper for $50 and they have them for less. I think I'll just go and buy one of these if necessary. Another £30 on top of what we will spend for the sake of no moaning from teenage son will be worth every penny!!!!
