DD12 is making a "Rustic Tart" for her Latin banquet. She has made a jam filling and will make a dough from scratch tomorrow. She also has to make some sort of creative presentation about the ingredients, so she has made (from construction paper) a grocery shopping cart, and has drawn pictures of each ingredient, labeled in Latin. She also has to make a mosaic - representing the Latin phrase "When there are bees, there's honey." She's going to do a Winnie the Pooh scene.
So about three days of solid work and some substantial cash - and yet she'll probably end up studying less than an hour for her other exams, because it's more fun to make a Rustic Tart than it is to memorize math formulas...
