Ok I hope this is a fun thread!

I am looking to order some adult beverage things from GG...as well as cream and sugar and less than exciting drink options for our trip.

But I have a brain block...I dont know if I want my usual margaritas. I am assuming we can bring our own drinks down the the pool?

So lay them all on me...what should I order for myself? And, assuming you have done this before, is it easier to just ask them to pick up a specific already blended 6 pack of something? And if so, what would you recommend? I love Mike Hard Lemonade so thats an option.

Thanks for your suggestions!! :drinking:

I love mojitis - but they require too many ingredients! If it's hot, I like plain Lemonade and vodka. Nothing fancy, but easy and yummy. You can even pack crystal light. I saw people bringing beer down by the pool at BWV. We brought down our chips and salsa - went very nicely with my mojitio!:goodvibes

We do lemonade and vodka too. And we use our refillable mugs with our own beverages at the pool. Garden Grocer has the cartons of minute maid lemonade and they fit nicely into the door of the fridge.

Coconut rum and Diet Coke - tastes like summer. And fewer calories than margaritas (my other favorite mixed drink).

We usually end up with Jack and Coke, just because its easy (we are bourbon drinkers at home) or Rum and Coke. As well as a bottle of wine.

The Screen Door at the Boardwalk had lemoncello this summer - that makes a very nice vodka lemonade.

The other lemonade we do at home is bourbon, ginger ale and lemonade. Its three ingrediants though, which is too much for Disney. (its even better as a martini with Canton liqueur, but that's hard to find).

Mike's Hard Lemonade does a hard mango that is really yummy. Not easy to find around here, though.

My DH came home from a golf trip with what he considers the answer to EVERYTHING- Capt Morgan & Diet Coke- tastes just like a cream soda.

I suggest Landshark Beer... it's made in Jacksonville, Fl. It's like Corona, but much better IMHO. I drink it without a Lime. Jimmy Buffet is an owner of the Company... "Margaritaville Brewing Co."

wow you guys...now I have too much to choose from...:rotfl:

maybe the captain and coke for hubby and the I love the coconut rum and diet idea for me...

and landshark beer because, well...I love beer and I love JB and we ARE staying in OKW after all!

oh and my wine!:goodvibes

Too much for a 6 days stay?

The Captain & Diet Coke is my MAIN drink although perhaps I use too much Captain 'cuz I never considered that it tastes like a cream soda!! :rotfl: I left a bottle of the Captain in our Owners Locker. :)

Cherry rum and diet coke is also very good - if you like cherry coke. I also am a fan of Captain Morgan and Diet Coke :cool1:

I think TGIFridays puts out a creamsicle mix (alcohol already included) that you blend with ice to make a nice adult treat!

How about a "Jenny" - named after my wife. I'm sure there is a real name somewhere out there. It is amaretto and diet coke. I'd prefer the Capt and diet or a Yuengling (can't buy it in Illinois).

We have ordered Parrot Bay Strawberry rum and Cruzan Banana rum from GG and mixed it with crystal lite lemonade that we brought from home. We also like Cruzan black cherry rum and Diet Coke or Diet Dr. Pepper. For the winter we like Cruzan cream rum in our hot chocolate.

I love Tequila Sunrises. Grenadine, tequila and Florida orange juice! Did I mention there's a liquor store in the Winn Dixie plaza near OKW & SSR!

An even easier one, a popular French light cocktail, a Panache, which is 1/2 beer and 1/2 sprite or 7 up. Personally I like a higher beer ratio so I do 2/3's beer and 1/3 sprite, it's refreshing! It's cheaper than a Tequiza!

Before dinner I like Spicy Clamato and Vodka, lots of lime!

French Martini: Vodka, pineapple juice, chambord, and champagne.

Then enjoy Disney on a Buzz! :scared1:
