Does it rain a lot in September? I can choose either to go to DW 9/6-9/12 or 11/28-12/4. Which one will you choose and why?

TIA!

It does rain more in September than Nov/Dec. If I had those two dates to choose from, and weather was a deciding factor, I'd go with the end of November trip. Both weeks seem to be good as far as crowds go.

We are going in Sept. this year because we are going for my DDs birthday but if I had a choice, I'd pick the November trip for the weather. (My favorite time is beginning of December!). I would check the crowd predictions for the weeks you are considering. I think your September trip would be less crowded and also be a little cheaper. However, I don't know if either of those factors would be significantly different enough for me to give up the better November weather. (Also keep in mind we are supposed to have a more active hurricane season this year and Sept. usually sees more storms than Nov.)

Edited to add: The rain is most likely going to happen if you choose the trip in Sept. But it's usually a summer shower that comes and goes. I wouldn't even factor in rain...it's usually a nice break from the Sept. heat.

We have always done Nov/Dec and the weather was perfect and the Christmas Decorations are GREAT!

We went this past September and it rained every single day except the day we were leaving...It didn't stop us but we were clad in Ponchos and umbrellas most of the trip and when it did stop raining for a bit it was hot and muggy and we were constantly soggy. We won't be doing it in September again!!

I think I would pick November since we tried September one year and it was way hotter than we expected!

September is my favorite time of year because of the lower crowds. It does rain every day in the afternoon but it's usually a quick shower and then clear the rest of the day. That quick shower can be an absolute downpour though. Sometimes the rain lasts longer of course...but if it does it will clear out the parks even more.

On the other hand...in November you will get to see the holiday stuff and that's something I have always wanted to see.

We always go over Thanksgiving or Christmas, so I would choose the November dates. I prefer all the extra Christmas decorations honestly. Also, Epcot during the Holidays Around the World is great. Just know that during those dates, the MK may close at 7 a few nights for the Christmas party. I like the weather during November and December better. It is milder and doesn't rain nearly as much.

Looks like you've made up your mind, but we would pick November too. The drawbacks to late November are more crowds, shorter daylight, and the potential for cool temps which means limited pool time. But we find it much more comfortable with less rain than September. You'll also experience the Christmas decor which is awesome.

My favorite time to go is after Thanksgiving, but you do run the risk of not being able to swim.

We went in Sept last year (3rd week, so it may rain more in early Sept), and it only rained one day our whole week long trip, and only for about 30 minutes. It was hot, but swimming was really important to us. We're planning another trip, and looking at Sept again because of low crowds, cheaper prices, and using the pool a lot. I wouldn't want to go if it was too cold to swim.

With those choices I would definitely take the late November/early December date. The Christmas decorations are fantastic and the weather is great as well. Crowds are nice in September but even though we dodged the showers in 2015 it was very HOT every day.

I have been in Sept. and November and prefer November. With that said, we did September last year and had no issues with rain. It's obviously hit or miss. If both are even in terms of all other factors (ease of getting away, cost, etc.), I'd do November. But, if you were leaning Sept. that would be just as fine (but, hotter!).
