Hello!

We have been every year since 2005, almost always going in November. We have noticed the crowds getting worse and worse for the timeframe we go, and are looking to try something new...

Last year, we were there November 12th through the 20th, which is one option for this year, but given the crowds, we are also considering November 30th through December 8th. Can you tell me if the crowds should be better for the December dates based on your experience, and also, will it be warm enough to swim? :)

Thanks so much!

The pools are heated, so I think you could swim, even if the air temp wasn't super warm.

As for dates, I think the Nov. 30-Dec. 8th would be a nice time to visit. Missing the after T-Day crowd and before the Christmas rush. I say give it a try this year and see how you like it.

We went Thanksgiving last year (not too bad--we avoided MK on thanksgiving) and the week after the year before. I found the crowds to be busy but manageable.

I have no idea how that will translate this year, but as an example--we were able to book 4th FP for space mountain -- it was around sunset (I don't remember exactly--but it was definitely later on the day) and it wasn't too late when they could be redeemed. This was midweek the week after Thanksgiving in 2014.

Technically it is warm enough to swim, but as a Floridian (though non-native), I prefer not to. My kids swim with no issue as long as pools are heated. Cold fronts in early December are a possibility.

I think that is a good time to go. We have gone at Thanksgiving and stayed part way through the week after. Crowds dropped a lot once Sunday came around, and I like that all the Christmas decor is up, Gingerbread House at GF is done, you can do CP at Epcot and storytellers are out in WS, etc. As far as swimming, my kids went in, but air is not warm enough for me generally even though pool is heated.

Thank you for your messages! I think we will give it a go and see if the difference in crowds makes up for the cooler temps. I will be happy to not have to deal with Food and Wine at Epcot, so that is one good thing... :)

we went dec 6-12 last year. crowds up until the last day were great. we had one day of cool temperatures (started off with a sweatshirt for the morning only) the rest was 80 degrees and we did go swimming on a few occasions. that being said weather can always change. crowd wise though I think you would be good
