My wife and I will be celebrating our Anniversary on Tuesday, April 17th and I want to take her somewhere really special.

What place would you suggest? Right now my plan is to take her to Bistro de Paris with an 8 PM reservation (illuminations + french + epcot) seems like a slam dunk.

However, I get the sense bistro de paris isn't too popular? Where would you prefer to take your sweetheart? Keep in mind we are both 26, and not exactly what you would call "foodies".

One final note in helping me decide: Victoria and Albert's is just too darn expensive. Anything else is fair game though!

Sound like you already have a great plan to me. Every time I have eaten in Bistro de Paris I have loved it, however, if you are really unsure how about a change of restaurant? One of the best meals I have ever had at WDW was Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. If you could get a wee ADR there for a little bit earlier (7/7.20?) you could have a lovely meal and then wander along the beach front/boardwalk to EPCOT and still catch Illuminations. To me that would be my ideal anniversary :goodvibes

Happy Anniversary!
Bistro is very nice but you are not going to get very great views of Illumations.Make a 9pm ADR and view the show outside then have dinner.

Only place, for a great TS viewing is the Rose and Crowne, and that is only if you can get a table outside, sure if you get an inside table they bring to a "viewing" area but it is not the same.

We have had a lot of great meals at Bistro but recent reviews have been mixed. It's never been popular because it wasn't on a dining plan. It is now so I expect quality and variety to be scaled back.

If V&A is out I'd pick Il
Mulino next. The restaurants at the Swan/Dolphin are an easy walk from Epcot and they are a lot better than Disney's signatures.

Happy Anniversary!
My DH and I visit WDW every year for our anniversary. We eat at either California Grill or Yachtsman Steakhouse. We have wonderful experiences at both and both have great food. If you are not a food and want just a great steak go for Yachtsman. If you want a great meal and want to be a bit more adventures or try new things go California Grill (they have steak and chicken at CG). Where ever you go, let them know this is your anniversary for some extra magic.

Have a great anniversary and magical vacation!

Happy Anniversary! Narcoosees is great too. It depends what food you like to eat. The surf & turf is awesome here. We have watched the Electrical parade on the water & the fireworks over the castle while sitting outside on the dock. What a great time. The food, service & atmosphere is great too. Best Wishes! We celebrated our 30th anniversary here :)

Another vote here for California Grill :thumbsup2 ... if you time your ADR right, you can see Wishes from the observation deck. The CMs will also hold your entree for you if it's close to fireworks time. Make sure you let them know it's your anniversary when you book the ADR and they will have your table all decorated with mickey head confetti (at least they did for our anniversary)
