I'm seeking advice for a non-park character breakfast for our last morning at WDW. We'll probably have some extra TS credits to spend. We've only done character breakfasts in the parks, so we've got no preconceived opinions about any of these places.

Choices:
Chef Mickey's (doing it for dinner earlier in the week)
O'Hana (doing it for dinner earlier in the week)
1900 Park Fare
Cape May Buffet

I'm more interested in quality of food/value for the $ than the character selection...my dd's are 8 and 10 so their almost "over" the character interaction stage.

Thanks for all your opinions!

I would suggest Chef Mickeys. It is buffet style and they have a wide variety of breakfast foods. The food and service are very good. I always over-eat there, but breakfast is my favorite meal.

DD17 and I love 1900 Park Fare! The food is VERY good for a buffet! We always have ressies for right after they open in the morning and it is not crazy and loud like some places are.

Sometimes my daughter can be a little weird about characters (she likes having her pic taken, but doesn't want to be smothered). At 1900, she feels like she gets the "right" amount of attention.

We always do Chef Mickeys for dinner.

I forgot to add that (other than LTT for dinner) we no longer do character meals in the parks because, to us, they are too disorganized, loud, too crowded, and we feel rushed to get out. We always have a car and explore other resorts so we prefer the character meals in the hotels over the parks.

I like 1900 PF also. Great food and service. This is a family tradition of ours.

We love Cape May because it's a little more laid back. I don't know if it's because it's not at a monorail resort, but it doesn't have that "hurry up" feel. We've always thought the food was very good, although my DH does love the made to order omelets at 1900. We just prefer the overall atmosphere of CMC.

We were very happy with character breakfasts at both 1900 Park Faire and Cape May. There were a lot more people at 1900, though. At Cape May, we had characters sitting at our table with us part of the time, visiting multiple times, etc. Food was very good at both. Park Faire has an omelet station, which is a priority for my dh; Cape May has Krispy Kreme donuts!

We loved Cape May Cafe for breakfast! They have a wonderful selection, nice laid back place. We will definetly eat here again :sunny:
