Help! Looking for a good word game site.

My 10 year old daughter has me addicted to the word game where you have six or seven random letters and you have to make, as many words as you can, out of those random letters. Unfortunately, the site that she uses is too easy for me. Does anyone know of a site, where you can play on-line for free? Each time that I Google "word games" I get crossword puzzles and word searches.

have you tried pogo?

There are several word games like you describe (word whomp being the one that comes to my mind) and you can change the levels to make it more difficult.

Some games require a membership, but I think word whomp is a free one.

You will have to "register" for the site, but again, most of it is free.

I'm "addicted" to Words in a Word at http://www.wordplays.com/p/index. Occasionally I'll play a few rounds of Boggler or Word Morph as well.

That game that you're describing is also on Yahoo! Games. I can't remember the name of it, but it's there.

Perhaps TextTwist at Yahoo games. I like it but you have to get the 6-letter word to keep playing. I find I have an easier time finding 5-letter and 6-letter words than the threes. Also, I miss mostly words that begin with vowels.

Currently I'm addicted to sudoku.

I've been using (free) Pogo for years. My stepdad has a paid subscription there. I can't remember what the (paid) benefits are though. It's a great website for games!

With the paid membership there are more games to play, no "intermissions", and you can earn more tokens (not that they're worth anything).

And you can collect badges from each of the games, they're not worth anything either, but it does make it more fun.
