Help! leaving on 27th!

okay i'm in a panic! booked a package 6 months ago hotel tickets and got a bonus.... the free dining plan. well there was 5 people in our party at the time. so everything has been scheduled and paid for for a party of 5 including adr's. well, my husband can't make it for the first night and will be checking in late the next day. what will happen with the dining plan? will we all lose it? will our adr's have to be changed to a party of 4 the night he's not there? anyone can help??? i would so appreciate it! i'm freaking out!

I wouldn't worry...we returned a few weeks ago and enjoyed free dining. We had no problem checking into POR without our entire party being present. I had made all our ADRs for a party of 5 and there were 2 that my daughter couldn't make it to (she was a CM on the College Program) because she was working. When we arrived for our ADR, I just made mention that we were now a party of 4...not 5. Not a big deal at all!

I'd call ahead and ask a CM what to do. Since you all ready booked the room with the free dining, you shouldnt lose anything. Probably a simple matter of adjusting the details of your reservation. Normally I would say not to worry about it, but with free dining, so people dont abuse the system, they generally require the whole party to be present at check in.

I would not worry about it, when you check in just explain that your DH is coming in the next day, it should not be any problem. Most people are reporting that they have not been checking all members of a party checking in.
As for your ADR's don't do anything, with less than 2 weeks to go the chance of you being able to change them is probably very small. Lots of people show up for an ADR with less than originally planned for- some one is sick or not hungry. Your not cheating the system or taking a ADR away from someone else your still using it just with one less person.

Like the others said; don't worry about it. Tell them at check-in about husband won't be a big deal . He made need to check -in himeslf /show ID once there for him to be activated on the dining plan. As for the actual dining reservations don't call ahead and tell them the situation!! just show up at your scheduled time and tell them it is 4 instead of 5. it will still keep eveything the same becuase they have you figured at a table that will actually either sit 6 or 8 people sitting only four there won't be a problem. on the other hand when someone thry try's to add another person and gofrom an even number to an odd number there is a big problem. like 2 to 3 , 4to 5 8to 9. becuase they already had them figured for a table of 2 or 4 or 8. Just relax everything is fine!
