Okay I have a few ?'s and I leave in 7 days so any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. I am wondering about room requests. I have a standard room so I will request a garden view. I also want to be close to the lobby. Do I have to request a daybed and balcony or do all rooms have these?

2. Does the pool have a closing time? I know the slide closes, but can I still go for a swim at midnight? Also how deep is the deepest section of the pool?

3. I read somewhere about a movie on the beach, but can't find anymore info on this. Anyone ever done this or know about it? It sounds like so much fun. Would love to do it on our 1st night there.

Thanks, if anyone has any other advice or pointers I would really appreciate it. I am so excited and although I have tried to find as much info as possible I am sure there is so much that I am missing.

I'm pretty sure all rooms come with a balcony and daybed(I know our room did).

The pool does technically close, but unless you're being incredibly loud no one will ask you to leave. We've been there at all times of the night, and have seen CMs walk right by, and other have assured us they don't mind us being there.

In reference to the other questions, I don't really have any advice.

Hi, we were at the BWI last weekend....yes as far as I know all rooms have a daybed and a balcony in them. I was with a group with 6 rooms and all had them. I requested a garden view when I made the reservation and when we arrived we found that we had been given a free upgrade and we had a view of the water and the boardwalk! It was a great surprise! If you want to request a garden view, I would call ahead of time as they have your room number already assigned to you when you get there.

The pool is open 24 hours, however lifeguards are not there at all times. I'm not sure what the deepest part of the pool is, but it didn't look very deep-- even where the slide came out, lots of kids were going down the slide unassisted.

I saw a huge movie screen on the beach but it was across the lake at the Beach Club resort. It's not at the BWI and I don't know if you can watch the movie over there or have to be staying at that resort, but you can always try!

Thanks everyone. I thought of one more thing. How was the refillable mug situation? And what choices did you have for lunch (on the dining plan). I am thinking we'll just grab something at the bakery or by the pool. We will only be having lunch at the hotel a couple times. Most of the time we'll be in the parks.

Hello, NH neighbor.
Please post everything about your trip when you get back. I am really interested in BWI, but I am still in the early planning stages.

Thanks!!!

We were in room 5306 last month and were surprised to find there was no daybed. If there are less than five of you and you want one, you might want to request it.

We (me, DH and DS (17)) will be staying at BWI this month for the first time. We are also curious about room requests. We have a standard room. Any recommendations for room requests?

Also, how long is the bus ride to MK?

When we stayed at BWI we had a garden view on a high floor and we were able to see Illuminations every night. You might ask to overlook the courtyard on a high floor.

The BWI is fantastic!!! We wound up buying DVC after staying there as we loved the location and themeing so much!

Have a great time!!:wizard:

PS
I've never heard of the beach movies except at Universal Resorts..You learn something new every day here on the DIS. When does the BC have the movies?
