HELP Just arrived and so unhappy

Can someone please help me. We just arrrived at the All Star Sport and absolutely hate it. It is so loud and not clean at all. The cheerleading groups are all around and you cannot move in the hall areas. Is there anything I can do to move out of here?

I am not a fussy person and teacher elementary school but this is terrible.

Go to the front desk and ask if there is a room at another resort you can move to. You may have to be firm with them; if they move you to a moderate, etc., you will have to pay the difference, etc.
 
I would contact the manager and request to switch your resort...there are most likely value resorts that do not have cheerleaders in them.:thumbsup2

Poster from another thread was complaining about all the cheerleaders at All Star Movies as well.
 

I just heard that they are at all of the All Stars...it is that, no food, and the hotel is just not clean at all.
 
I've been trying for weeks to get a room this weekend but have been told every room onsite is sold out

I would go to the front desk and ask for a manager. Make sure that they know that you are unhappy, and be specific. And then ask for what you want - a resort without cheerleaders. It is possible that they are not at all of the All Stars, and they might not be at Pop Century (another value). I would just ask.

If they can't find a room at a value, be willing, and let them know that you are willing, to pay to move to a moderate.

Guest services may also be able to help (there is a guest services desk in the lobby).

Whatever you do, I would do it in person and I would get the problem resolved now to your satisfaction now so it isn't hanging over your head for the rest of your visit.
 
I would do what others have suggested and speak to a manager seeing if you can be moved to another resort. If you do not do this, your vacation will be ruined and you don't want that!

I am working on it now but they said they put us in a building with no cheerleaders but that doesn't solve anything. I am so sorry I brought this laptop with me.

Okay, so they are putting you in a building with no cheerleaders. What else....specifically.....is so wrong with the resort? If you are not conveying that to the folks you are speaking with at the resort any better than you are expressing it here, it is going to be difficult for them to come to an adequate resolution. You need to be able to tell them specifically what will make you happy.
 
It is the noise, it is horrible (and I am used to noise teaching 5th grade), for some reason you had to wait over an hour for food and the place is just terribly unkept. Of course, I am concerned about dinner time and the noise tonight.
 
You'll have to explain that the noise is unbearable even though you are in a building with no cheerleaders. Ask to move to Pop. If that's sold out, move to a moderate.

I would avoid the All Star food court at all costs. Hop a bus to DTD or anywhere else. We almost never eat at our resort's food court, so don't let this ruin your dinner.

Have you gone to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager? Don't attempt to resolve this by phone.

Walk over there....now....and tell that you're not happy with the noise, the conditions in the food court, or the cleanliness and you want to change your reservation to a different resort. Don't let them try to move you to another building, that's not going to fix the cleanliness and food court problems. If there's availability showing online at other resorts, they've got a place to move you to.

Be pleasant, but firm. Insist. If they're resistant and try to tell you there's no availability, call the reservation line while you're standing at the desk to prove that there's availability.

R u ok w/ paying the difference. Ask that way. Maybe they are thinking that you are trying to "get" something, not saying you are....but maybe they are

If the manager isn't able to move you to another resort, I'd call the reservation line and ask what is available. If you explain your situation they may be able to move you. You may even ask to speak to a supervisor when you call to see what they can do for you.

I agree about avoiding the food court as well. We were at Disney once when there were what felt like a zillion cheerleaders. We were staying at a deluxe though so it wasn't so bad.

You said you are a teacher. See if you can get a teachers rate at the Dolphin or the Swan. It is MUCH more quiet in that area. I'm sure that you don't want to pay twice but maybe if you check out of the All Star once you secure a room at the Dolphin they will refund your money?
