Hi there,
We are down to two excursions in Cozumel:
1.
Fury Catamaran Sail Snorkel and Beach Party
2.
Cozumel Ruins, Chocolate and Beach Break
Has anyone done either or both who could compare them? We have 4 adults (one grandma) and 4 kids (15,14,11,10). Kids aren't super excited about the snorkeling, but are excited about the beach. We are hitting Stingray City at GC the next day on a boat, so was thinking that the Chocolate one would mix it up a bit. That said, I haven't heard much about it.....
TIA
Beth

I have to work on my photos, the sizes are too large to post here apparently. But here goes. Loved the ruins, chocolate, beach break tour, highly recommend. My boys are 5 and 10. We met in the Walt Disney theatre at 10:45. It's about a 10 min walk off the ship, through the pier area and across the street to the bus area. Our guide Patricio gave some introductions and it was about a 15 min ride to San gervasio. We spent about an hour's, no mosquito that I noticed. Patricio was very knowledgeable and interesting, I wished we had more than an hour. Boys were getting hungry and so i broke out the fruit loops from the breakfast buffet. It was sunny and warm and we were happy to get back to the a/c bus where the driver had a cooler full of cold drinks. From there we took about another 30 min drive around the east and south of the island while Patricio gave more narration. The Mayan cacao place is in the same property with plAya MIA. we walked through their garden to a little pavilion where Adrian described the ancient mayan pre-sugar recipe, which you could then sample. Then you could add honey, sugar, Cinnamon and vanilla to make it more recognizable. Boys loved this part. Then you could shop in the store, or head down the sidewalk into plAya MIA. We got drink tickets that could be redeemed for alcohol or water or soft drinks. plAya MIA had a nice pool, splash area, and water slide in addition to the beach. There were changing rooms and lockers. We met back at the bus at 430, it was a slow drive back on the two lane road and other ships passengers all doing the same. I noted 5:43pm getting thru security back on the ship and we went right into dinner with our beach bags. It was a long day, but really fun and a great way to experience the island.
